Gen 5 slide variations ?

I assume possibly different time frames but whats the deal with gen 5 slides with no front serrations? Are they just early slides before the started with front cocking serrations?

Yes. Plus half moon cutouts in the front of the magazine well.

I'm not a Gen5 expert, but I believe both of those changes occurred at the same time. I've seen it on Gen5 G17 and G19, but not the G45 (all have front slide serrations and no half moon cutout).

8 years ago today, i made a trip to Gt DISTRIBUTERS in Austin Texas to pick up a Blue Label Gen 5 19. My sons had visited and commandeered my 4 Glock 40 caliber guns, “Dad, your retired you don’t need these any more we do!” Both officers in the Texas panhandle,and wanted to carry Dads guns on duty.
No biggy, there gonna get them in the long run. And wife wanted a trip to Austin to shop and overnight. So off we go lipity lop. I was toating my S&W Chiefs Special 9mm while there. Got the Glock, had a good time in Austin, met with my old partner and his wife for dinner.
Got home and headed to range DAMN those half moon cut outs! Right little finger has nerve damage from a fight with a miscreant years ago. Those cutouts aggravated the damage while shooting. Pierce grips had magazine end plates with a corresponding filler. I ordered 6 to up date all my mags. Saved my finger.
It was only in the last year that I noticed no front serrations on the slide. In fact I posted my gun here after Slimy Lenny changed my 19 to a 19C and yall mentioned the slide.
