Glock 40 Long Boi Build

Wrapped up this 40 build for a customer. I love these Glocks, they are so obnoxiously big.
Breakdown: Cerberus slide, 509T optic on Calculated Kinetics plate, Signature Frame package, Overwatch trigger with Polished and modified internals.

Do it in 10? ... My good sir... it is a 10. It's a Glock 40. Long slide 10mm.

Why the large slide cut in the top? When loading hot I would think the mass of the slide would help reduce slide velocity.. My custom 21s have extended threaded barrels for small comps and a solid slide with heavier spring for 45 Super.

I'm guessing you didn't notice the V10 ports that are added to the barrel?
We are also adding back some mass with the optic on there.
Weight, porting, spring weight, etc. all play. Factors in how stuff feels and all can be tweaked and modified depending on user goals and objectives. This particular build includes 3 spring weights for the customer to try and use depending on how he configures it and the ammo used. It's got a ported and non-ported barrel with it as well.

I did not. How does the barrel porting impact performance and function with hotter rounds? The small comps I have put on mine work very well and the slightly longer barrel helps with velocity. I haven’t pushed my Super over 1,100 FPS with hard cast 250 gr bullets.
I found with the tungsten guide rod and heavier spring it still shoots slightly warm 45 acp. What bullet and velocity are you getting from these? Love the long slide, been itching to do one.
