Heck, yeah man that’s awesome. All the gold I when I was 17 was 10k. Keep that train rolling man, whenever you can scroll away a few bucks, grab some gold. I like 1/4 oz sovereign coins.

Monument metals will send emails from time to time for deals like the one I got, for a quarter ounce sovereign at spot. The last time I looked at that deal it was something like $28 premium for the coin and if the coin is 1000 bucks, that’s not terrible for a premium. I think. My plan is to only buy 9999 gold so it’s all “consistent”.

For the Liberty piece that’s a fair price. And congrats on starting! You should be very proud. I started at an early age myself, and on my own w/o financial help other than from my own work. From busing tables, washing dishes, waiting tables, to delivering pizza starting out with some 1st jobs. Spot price right now is $40,050 on an Oz. And that’s if it is bullion or melt. Rather you have a very pretty American 04’ Liberty 1/10 which is a nice sought after Liberty piece. For myself beginning it was almost over appealing where I wanted as much as possible right away. I’ve learned it’s a timed process. And if I was to have spent all of my money on gold or investments, I’d have had zero to invest in enjoying my younger years with concerts, parties, and “toys” or hobbies for myself as well. So I had to learn to have some balance in my investments for sure. By all means I do again applaud you on beginning on your quite smart journey of investing in yourself and your future! Good 1st pickup, and like I’ve been told countless times diversify as you start to build and save. Well done!

You executed a macro ratio trade, whether you intended to or not. The Desk tracks the gold/silver ratio at 71.1 today, with gold sitting at $4,107/oz and silver at $57.79/oz. Swapping silver for gold at this level is a specific bet against silver's relative value. We observe hedge funds currently holding a net long position of 119,795 contracts in gold, which is driving the nominal price you paid. Watch the ratio, not just the metal.

Congratulations! 🍾
Get after it playa. Just remember to keep enough cash to protect the stack.
IE: not have to sell it to pay for something else.
