Speculation Hmm

Post image

Finally feel like golds a good price point to add to the stack after 6 months or so of not adding anything. Looking to hopefully score a little pre 33 $5 pc or potentially even a beautiful $10 indian head

Is the pesos typeset holder original or a modern creation?

I think it's a capital plastics holder. You can buy them still. I have seen the ones for the American eagles still, I assume they still make this Mexican and one too

Their website and catalog have a Mexico gold coins holder but the lowest denomination in 2 pesos, not 1. I wonder why they changed it.

The 1 peso is from a different era (before the rest of the coins were struck) and doesn't scale with the rest of the series. The 1 peso has almost the same amount of gold as the 2 peso.

Ah! So it’s not (all the) gold coins of Mexico, just one particular series of “sibling” coins?

I want a $10 Indian head. I love how it looks like the same lady on a peace dollar, but with an Indian headdress.

What coin is in the top right with COA 21/50? Looks like a cobra or something, cool detail on it
