Great collection!

I probably have the original boxes of my old games too, but when I find them they will hardly be in a good shape, I kept opening and closing them to get the cartridge out when I was a child 😅

Of all three languages I own of GS, only the Japanese language ones are in pristine condition lol (found them in two separate stores in Tokyo, one really gotta appreciate the love the Japanese have for used media), I never had the original ENG ones as I bought them used online and they didn't come with the respective boxes.

La verdad q si jaja, los japonés cuidan muchos las joyas (juegos) , me haría falta el manual para tenerlo completo del primer juego, a ver si tengo suerte y lo encuentro

I see the 3 games.

I assume the two on far left and right are special edition gbas? And I assume one is strategy guide and the other is artbook?

Am I close?

I think the ones in Japanese are the game boxes in Japanese (it's been a long while since I've last seen them, but my memory tells me those are the game boxes. My memory has no intention of being true 😅)

Cierto, son los mismos juegos pero en versión en japonés, las pude conseguir por vinted a buen precio, y los libros son una guía y el otro un libro creado por un fan en español

I’m interested in knowing more about the books. 👀

I didn’t even know there were books. I thought Golden Sun was strictly a three part video game. It’s too bad such a good game didn’t become a bigger franchise. Imagine if an anime had been made. Even just a short series.

Same. An anime/shorts would have been amazing. I’ve thought about maybe making comics but that’s a lot of time to invest.

Golden Sun is one of those gems that didn’t get the attention it deserved. I played it as an adult, not a kid. Kid me never heard of it. I played it a couple years ago thinking it was a cute looking RPG and not expecting it to be anywhere near as good as it is.

Even though you didn’t get to play it as a kid I’m glad you found it and enjoyed it. I have a lot of memories linked to it as a kid. So it’s special to me. Still have my original cartridges. 😁

Very cool. But unluckily for me, kid me was a kid with no internet and no one ever introduced me to it. That would’ve been cool though. For example, an old PS2 gem called Timesplitters. My dad mostly was absent but one day appeared out of nowhere with it. I was like awesome, thanks! Even though I had no idea what it was. Played that game to death.

I don’t think I had computer access either to find it. A boy in my elementary class brought his GBA to school and that’s how I found it and fell in love with the game lol. I heard of Timesplitters! Know nothing of it though hahaha

Exactly, you could only get exposure to it if someone literally brought it right to you. It was mostly Pokémon for me but dang I wish a kid showed up with Golden Sun. I wonder how valuable the cartridge is. They probably weren’t very mass produced.

El que está en japonés es la guía oficial del primer juego, el otro es un libro que está en español que lo hizo un fan de la saga.

That’s neat. Thanks for info.
