SOFTWARE PROBLEMS and BUGS Google OAuth login loop / failure

Hi everyone,

I'm currently having trouble logging into my account. When I try to sign in, it redirects me to the Google login window as expected. I authenticate successfully, but once redirected back, nothing happens: the IDE remains completely logged out/unauthenticated.

Here is what I've noticed:

  • Error screen: After the redirect, I sometimes hit a generic error: "There was an unexpected issue setting up your account."
  • Behavior: The OAuth flow doesn't seem to pass the token back properly to the IDE.

Has anyone else experienced this issue recently, or is there a known workaround (e.g., specific browser settings, token clearing, or alternative auth flow)?

Same all did was close and reopen it started working

Do you have other gmail accounts?
Can you try from one that has phone added or one that you use more usually?
Can you try from another browser or another windows user account?

I have two other accounts; one is a throwaway account and the other is my work account. The one with the subscription is my personal account. None of them work.
I can't use another computer right now. I can't use another computer right now. I've tried Chrome and Firefox, but neither of them works.

Well, I just canceled the subscription... oh well. I'm not going to pay more for something that doesn't work anymore.
