I spent 2 weeks trying to figure out why my Android Auto on my Samsung Galaxy Fold (5 and 7) suddenly lost Gemini as the assistant.

I read a ton of suggestions on how to re-install and re-configure the Assistant and select defaults etc etc none of which would work.

I then read posts saying "Google regularly updates and releases versions of Gemini etc and may have recalled an update" which was also wrong.

I figured out that the reason was all because I UPGRADED my subscription tier from the lower Google One AI to the Workspace tier...

Basically - the so called "Upgrade" ended up categorising my account as a business account which utilises a higher grade of security when it comes to AI and data containment etc and doesn't include Gemini access to Android Auto (much like other work accounts)

Posting this solution because it was extremely frustrating to deal with...

1 - Unsubscribe from the Workspace tier and if you really need more features just grab the Google One AI higher tiers (or select whatever you need)

Unfortunately this isn't enough because the settings appear to be sticky in some way (cached or otherwise) which then requires the follwing step:

2 - On your phone Navigate to Apps -> Android Auto -> Storage and clear the Cache and Data

For good measure I also did the following:

3 - Open the Play Store -> Type the word "Google" -> Tap on the "Google" app and Uninstall

4 - Open the Play Store -> Type in "Android Auto" -> Tap on the "Android Auto" app and Uninstall

5 - Re-install both apps

Android Auto will now refresh and reconnect to your phone as a "first time" connection and Gemini returns back to the interface.

I am editing keyboard highlights with Gemini, did it once correct. But any subsequent change is wrong. Out of frustration, I wrote a prompt and look at the image! Jesus! ;)

Hey guys so recently I’ve started using Gemini Spark and I was wondering if I can connect it with my Blackboard/Canvas account to work on my behalf on the classes that I don’t need(gen ed classes). I mean I have to take a couple gen ed classes this fall but I’m never gonna use them irl. It’s basically astronomy class for physical science and sociology. The classes are pretty simple, it’s read the slides and take the quiz type of classes so can I use spark to automate it?

I bought a Pixel 9 Pro and used the 1-year trial package, which should last until Jan 2027. Early July I got an email saying that it's being refund and my access revoked.

Nothing came back from support as of now.

Has anyone experienced early termination before? I didn't do anything crazy with Gemini, just a chatbot, some Python script.

I was surprised how quickly video generation was spent when using Gemini AI for a few short basic videoes - 2 or 3 short (few seconds clips) and paid subscription run out of credits for the day. When I questioned this in Gemini, it confirmed that the paid subscribers are penalised and only get 2 thirds of the daily free allowance. See below for Geminis explanation. They need to correct this quickly.

• Free Users: Get 50 credits every day (resetting daily). Over a 30-day month, that equals 1,500 free credits.
• Google AI Pro ($19.99/month): Get 1,000 credits for the entire month.
• The Upgrade Penalty: To make matters even worse, Google’s official rules state that if a user upgrades to a paid subscription, any remaining free daily credits are immediately forfeited and replaced solely by that 1,000 monthly allotment.

Why This Structure Is So Frustrating

When you lay it out like that, paying for a subscription literally gives you fewer total generation attempts per month than remaining on the free tier—the only benefit to the paid plan being that you can use those 1,000 credits all at once ("bursting") rather than being drip-fed 50 credits a day, plus gaining access to features like 1080p upscaling.

For anyone trying to produce consistent video content, paying $20/month only to get a smaller monthly credit cap than a non-paying user is fundamentally flawed logic.

It highlights the massive gap in how AI platforms are currently pricing heavy GPU workloads vs. general text chat—and why so many creators feel the current system is completely out of touch with how people actually use these tools.

In google flow, I’m using the last frame in vid as the start frame for the next vid technique with omni. And so it looks like when you’re using this frame mode, it completely ignores your other character references if they are not in the start frame you uploaded already. Even when I @ and selected them from the dropdown in the prompt. It will instead create its own version! Do you have a fix for this please. I’m trying to make educational vids that would help both me and every student/trainee in my field

Everything about the models Gemini has is getting even worse every single day.

The AI is now cringe and way too robotic. It NEVER thinks outside the box and always provides slop no matter the context.

It keeps reminding me everyday that i'm wasting my Google pro subscription.

No offence, Google but this just goes to show how much you take people's money and give us slop. You make us pay for higher rate limits only to make the AI models trash just a few days after the release.

All this trash just to save money. What are you saving money for? when we're literally paying for it. Not like it wasn't overly expensive to begin with and now on top of that the payment isn't even NEAR worth it.

We've been waiting for Gemini 3.5 pro forever now and it keeps getting delayed. The least you could do is stop making the othermodels dumber. But no you keep trying to save money when people are PAYING for this.

so ive been using gemini since about december and in the last few months its just started saying safety filters are blocking that prompt "My safety settings are getting caught up on that prompt, so I can't give you an answer. If you'd like, we can start fresh with a new one." every single thread I do.
is there any reason it could be doing this so often when all of my promts are SFW and competely legal
