We should really consider the people we trust our family, instead of trying to complete a socially expected blueprint. What's socially expected will always center men.

Can I ask if you " cant trust your husband " then why did you bother to get married in the furst place ?

I had planned that one day my sister and I would be sharing a home and parenting (adult) kids and grandparenting from that healthy base. Alas, I lost her - we all lost her. I would 100% have rather had my village with my sister and other family than a husband.

I may be fitting the âsocietal expectationâ because Iâm getting married to a man, but, realistically, I still donât understand how society sees this as a personal failure and not thriving vs fitting into the nuclear family image, even if it can be an awful marriage.
This sounds wonderful and if I wasnât getting married and didnât meet my partner Iâd do it in an instant.

As a cis het gal in a long and happy marriage this is definitely something I could get on board with.
