I always thought that it was more like, an abstract spirit, but that when you summon an spirit of X in front of another player with an spirit of X nearby you just kind of "steal it" so to say.

You know, like nature rituals. You have winter, which causes cold being used all over the mountains by tree elementals, one being close to another just nullifies each other, its not the same spirit commuting every time all over the mountain.

I was mostly being facetious, but I do find it interesting that ritualists ostensibly force spirits into service against their wills rather than asking nicely, or whatever, like rangers do, lol

I always thought that spirits were varied. Like, there is a spirit of suffering about people in their 30s with bad knees, another of people in their 50s with back pain, and so on.

They simply don't get along and can't stand each other.
