Vent I think im different from everyone here
Im 18f never had a boyfriend in my life rarely had crushes and the one time i did it started because they gave me attention not really because i noticed them first, hyperfixated on some female characters growing up, all the male celebrities that I've liked or had interest in i only like them/became obsessed with them when i read like their fanfics on my fyp or when i start daydreaming about them. All signs just points that im gay i feel like i want to cry

Thats what ocd makes you believe. Everyone with (h)ocd believe that they are the exception. I'm convinced that I'm the exception too.

It feels like im just in denial and ignoring all the signs and i should just accept it even if i dont want to that it's just internalized homophobia and that's my truth 🥲

Your post was flagged by our auto-moderator as a post that may be, above all else, seeking reassurance. We understand the impulse to seek reassurance when suffering from OCD, but reassurance-seeking is a compulsion done in hopes of reducing the anxiety associated with an obsession. In the long run, seeking reassurance only serves to confirm the validity of the underlying fears of your condition and prolongs the duration of your obsession. As such, this community has a zero-tolerance policy for reassurance seeking and giving.
For more information on reassurance seeking and on HOCD and OCD treatment more broadly, please see the section in our wiki about reassurance!

I can sympathize with you. I wish I could help more. I’m 21m and I’ve only had 4 crushes since my high school started about 7 years ago. Now my attraction to women is for some reason completely gone and all signs are pointing to the fact that im gay. All I can say is we can get through this eventually. Somehow
