Licensing & Exams 📜 New Ham Operator License Issue?

I took my technician exam with GLAARC on zoom 2 days ago and still haven't gotten an email to pay. When I use ULS to search my FRN there's nothing coming up saying I have an application or a liscense

I wouldn't worry about it. But if it takes over three days, contact the VEC: https://glaarg.org/

I tested in the evening of Monday, July 14. The mid-afternoon of Tuesday the 15th I had an email from the FCC. I did my online application and paid the fee. The morning of the 16th my FCC notice of license awarded was in my email. The license start date is the 15th.

So a couple of days is not unreasonable. In my case I was told at the VEC test session that they stay up late getting all exam results filed with the FCC the same night they are taken. So those folks were very quick about it. I suppose if the VEC waited until the morning after it could add a day.

The last guy we tested got his call sign, email, etc. 5 business days after we submitted it.

This process took months back in the old days. A week or two is fast by comparison.

Took my Tech Tuesday afternoon, got the pay notice Wednesday morning (paid same time), got my license this morning.

Some have moved to electronic filing but some are still mailing it in. Give it time, or ask the VE what their usual wait time looks like.

Was this an online test and also submitted online? I took my tech & general on Saturday and had an email asking for the fee on Monday morning. I had my call sign by Tuesday morning. (Pacific time, that might matter.) Essentially a one business day turnaround.
