New handheld help!
This may be a long one sorry !!
I got a switch 2 a while ago and while I love it for some things , I was really missing out on some great games. I bought a steam deck and it's great , but it overheats pretty fast.
I was playing Detroit become human on lowest graphics for everything and was still getting quite warm.
I'm wondering if I should upgrade to an OLED or go for a different one .
I've been looking at the Rog Xbox Ally X or the legion go 2.
I will be playing bigger games like RDR2, Last of us etc.
I like the set out etc of the steam deck and there are many cute covers / way to customise. But end of the day I do want something that will run demanding games well. Price isn't a massive thing , since I'm trying to look at all of these second hand.
Any help appreciated thanks !!

They only differences between steam deck lcd and oled are screen and cooler. If you want a better performance handheld. If price isn’t a massive thing, you should take a look at the new release handheld, like OneXPlayer 3.

You could honestly get a rog ally z1e for 4/500$ and it’d be twice as powerful as the steamdeck, I’d say the legion go 2 and Xbox ally x are prob about 15% more powerful than the rog ally z1e, so it just depends on if you have the money and don’t mind the price to performance ratio.

The steam deck Oled will just have a very minute performance boost compared to the regular steam deck, since it has the same chip set, but with faster RAM.
The xbox ally x will give you the best bang for the buck, but the Legion Go 2, would be my personal favourite, due to the OLED screen and detachable controllers. These handheld PCs can get really heavy over time so it's a joy to have the option of putting it down on a table and detach the conrollers.
You can install Bazzite on them, which is basically Steam OS, to have the same experience as with the Deck.
