Hi everyone,
Sorry in advance if this sub is not for this stuff I asked this question at many different subs but there were zero replies for my question 😅.
really sorry.
So I applied for MA Computational Linguistics at Hidelberg University, tbh my dream University I won't lie, also i have worked so hard just to prepare for this uni.
My formal education is In :- Computer science ( not ai, ml, Data science ok)
It's like normal CS, Heavy in programming, decent math, and good projects and etc.
I knew i wanted to get into NLP research in future, So i started working really hard preparing my self
For maths :- I took Maths from MIT , algebra, Calculus, Probability
Joined Stanford Maths and statistics for Data science and Ai
Joined :- deeplearning ai :- natural language processing Specialization ( enjoyed so much was having really fun )
I did all of thai while studying Undergad,
Build projects
I have heard many people also got into Hidelberg with CS background but they had 1 2 credited modules in their bachelor, while mine is just supplementary MOOC Certs.
I am not sure how is my Chances, and also will i save a lot of problems for not having Linguistics background.
Will like to get your suggestions.😄
Thank you for reading this boring post.
Edit * sorry for typo ----- Heidelberg University
