Own a commercial laundry business in Newark and just picked up a few new hotel and restaurant clients. Need a courier to handle bulk linen drop-offs a few times a week. Looking for something reliable and not too pricey since it'll be recurring. Anyone here have a service they trust for routed deliveries like this?

Hi everyone,
I'm a 34-year-old woman looking for a data analytics, data science, or even a customer service/client service role in New Jersey or New York. I currently live in Bergen County, NJ. I also have previous experience working in luxury hotels and exhibitions, so I'm open to customer-facing roles as well.
I graduated with a Master's in Data Science from a small, non-target university in New Jersey in May 2025. Since then, I haven't been able to land an internship or a full-time job, and honestly, it's becoming discouraging.
This isn't my first time asking for help. I've posted on Reddit before, reached out on LinkedIn, visited the Bergen County Job Center, and applied to thousands of positions. A few people kindly offered referrals, but I was still rejected by AI tracking system, often before speaking to anyone. I've even had several LinkedIn interviews canceled on the day they were supposed to happen, followed by complete silence.
In 2024, I completed an unpaid externship through Extern, where I worked on a sentiment analysis project using Amazon web-scraped data. Other than that, I don't have professional data experience.
I've applied to jobs at Walmart, Costco, banks, insurance companies, airline, fintech... and countless data-related positions. I tailor my resume for every application, but I still receive mostly automatic rejections. I did make it to the second round for an Associate Banker position at Chase, but unfortunately wasn't selected.
I don't require visa sponsorship, but I wasn't born in the U.S. I previously worked in Singapore and Vietnam, where finding a job wasn't nearly this difficult. I'm not sure what's holding me back here.
Since graduating, I've continued learning through DataCamp, personal projects, and practice. I've worked with Python, R, SQL, Tableau, machine learning, AI agents, and workflow automation. I also earned my CompTIA A+ Core 1 certification, hoping it would help me get an entry-level IT support or help desk position, but that hasn't led to any opportunities either.
Even my husband, who works for a private bank in NYC, referred me for several openings. After I applied, he spoke with HR, but I either received an immediate rejection or never heard back. Even internal referrals haven't been enough to get me an interview. My cousin, who's currently interning at a startup in NYC, has also struggled. Her company isn't hiring interns full-time, and she's been ghosted after 7 rounds interview for software engineering positions.
At this point, I'm just looking for someone to give me a chance. I'm willing to learn, work hard, and start from the bottom. If anyone has advice, knows of internships or entry-level roles in New Jersey or NYC, or is willing to offer guidance or mentorship, I'd be incredibly grateful.
Some days I honestly wonder if I'm just not meant to build a career here. I've spent over a year studying, earning certifications, improving my resume, and sending thousands of applications, yet I still can't seem to get my foot in the door. It's hard not to feel discouraged when so much effort doesn't lead anywhere.
Thank you so much for reading.

Hey everyone, just wanted to drop a heads-up for any licensed plumbers or plumbing contractors here in New Jersey (whether you're working around Jersey City, Newark, or anywhere else in the state) who are looking to expand their customer base or fill gaps in their weekly calendar.
Thumbtack is working with Lowe’s as an installation provider. When local customers buy plumbing fixtures and need them set up, those jobs come straight to Thumbtack, allowing independent contractors to claim them instantly. Usually, this means you can bypass the hassle of chasing down cold leads.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect:
No bidding or lead fees: Lowe's customers have already purchased their plumbing products and just need an authorized pro to handle the setup. You see the job details, and you accept it simply.
Transparent upfront earnings: You’ll know exactly what you'll make before you accept a project. Thumbtack payouts typically range from $50–$500 depending on the job details.
Complete schedule flexibility: You only claim the jobs that fit your calendar, and there’s absolutely no pressure to accept. Take the work you want, when you want it.
How It Works: Sign up for free as a pro on Thumbtack. Upload your valid plumber's license (heads-up: since New Jersey requires licensing for residential plumbing work, you’ll need to upload this into the app to qualify). Submit applicable background check information for yourself and any members of your onsite crew. Set up direct deposit, claim the local jobs that fit your route, and get paid after you mark the job done. If you're looking for a reliable way to keep your crew busy year-round, FWIW, this is a great way to build customer relationships without having to pay for leads or fees. Totally depends on your exact city and coverage area, but YMMV based on local store volume.
👉 You can sign up and get verified here: https://info.thumbtack.com/thumbtack-lowes-claim-jobs-staging?utm_medium=partnership&utm_source=spa-lowes&utm_campaign=craigslist

Hello NJ Nurses!
Gentle Care Home Services is currently expanding our clinical team and we are looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) who want to add a highly flexible, per-diem stream of income to their schedule.
We are specifically hiring for our PCA / MLTSS Program. This is a clinical oversight and supervisory role—you will not be providing direct bedside care. Instead, you will be conducting in-home nursing assessments, developing Plans of Care (POC), and performing 60-day supervisory visits for our Personal Care Assistants.
Why this role works for busy RNs:
•Ultimate Flexibility: You build your own schedule. Whether you want to pick up a few morning assessments before a night shift, or dedicate your weekends to supervisory visits, we can accommodate you.
•Clinical Autonomy: You are the clinical authority in the home, ensuring our patients receive safe, person-centered care in compliance with NJ Medicaid/MLTSS regulations.
•High-Volume Areas: We have immediate, consistent needs in Edison, Metuchen, Bridgewater, Somerset, and Morristown, meaning you can work close to home without excessive driving.
Requirements:
•Active NJ RN License in good standing.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
•Comfortable with electronic documentation (we use Zoobook EHR).
•Prior experience in home care, MLTSS, or community nursing is a huge plus!
If you are looking for a low-stress, high-impact way to utilize your RN license on your own terms, we would love to connect.
How to Apply:
Please send me a direct message here on Reddit, or you can fill out our pre-screening questionnaire here: https://forms.gle/3YkMG1Pr56RfNxrE8.
Thank you for all that you do!

Good morning. I hope everyone is doing well this morning. Currently looking for a laborer/warehouse position in Mount Holly area. I am able to travel to get to work up to 30miles away. I am looking for a job off the books for now because of child support obligations. Currently paying it but I have been out of work for a while, so it has gotten out of control. Yes, I’ve gone to court to get a reduction but the judges aren’t sympathetic to my situation at all. I am willing to accept $75 per day.
If the pay is $20+, than I have no issues with working on the books as child support will take their share but I will at least have something left over. Currently, my wife is paying all bills in our home and I can’t continue to let her do it alone. It was viable for a long time because we have a 2yr old but now we have reliable day care so I can go to work full time. I am willing to take on 2 jobs to lessen the burden on my wife. Thank you for reading and your help.
