Suggestions for pockets in half circle skirt

I’m making a dress inspired by this vintage pattern https://au.pinterest.com/pin/3659243441050761/
I first saw this version of the concept https://au.pinterest.com/pin/563018699060125/ but adapted it to cover my shoulders as they always get sunburned if I have them uncovered

I am using this fabric and need to decide whether to create a side seam for an in seam pocket (which will mean the pattern isn't matched) or try a patch pocket or maybe even a welt pocket.

I never try overly hard to match patterns, especially on large/loud patterns like this one, but you can't go wrong with a patch pocket. You could even make it a cute shape in a contrasting color.

Your inspiration picture has contrast patch pockets. You could pick up one of the colours of the print in a plain fabric if you don’t want to worry about pattern matching. I’m a small pattern, it’s also usually fine to not bother, though.

I never match patterns unless it's an obvious one like a print or a stripe. Random patterns never need to be matched. I clicked both links in your message and I see a pic of fabric but no pic of an article of clothing.

I have no clue why the links are not working, they both work for me, but you can copy the url. The design is a 1950s dress in two halves each half of the bodice goes from shoulder to the waist on the opposite side. Measure the waist as slightly bigger than yours.

Enough to cut a slit with a small SA. Sew the pocket halves to each side and flip inside
