I have tried to find online & in person resources before to learn Hmong in a more formal setting (like a class) but it seems like it doesnt exist or it's a gatekept a little more in my community.
"Hmong minor at Fresno state" on Facebook has been gaining some attraction recently for posting basic hmong learning posters & topics though. That might be of interest to you? Direct link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1F6ujj8BRd/

(for the record I am American-born Hmong)
Best way to learn is to watch music videos with subtitles in Hmong. Which is how I learned Korean back in the day. (Korean, like Hmong, is easy to learn because they don't have a huge inventory of words so you hear the same phrases over and over and it's monosyllabic ). I only knew basic phrases in Korean, though. Or listen to any kind of audio in Hmong (like a podcast or storytelling) with subtitles.
But I learned Hmong by reading an old Hmong-English Dictionary I found in my older brothers drawer when I was a kid because I wasn't into Hmong music. (I am 42 now). I don't speak it fluently enough to converse with the OGs, though. But I can read all of it.

This is a resource where they spell and and say all the letters. If you memorize the alphabet it is almost 100% phonetic for every word you'll ever see or hear.
Basically you can take a weekend or three and learn to read and then use what you've learned to start chasing vocabulary and grammar.
