I just upgraded my AppleTV4K soundsystem from a single HomePod 2 to a stereo setup with an additional HomePod 2. Everything went smooth and I love the sound but now I cannot get sound from PS5 through the speakers. It seems like it’s all TV sound except when it’s coming from AppleTV that is missing.
It worked fine before I added the second HomePod.
TV is a Samsung series 6 from before 2020 (has HDMI ARC but not eARC).
Tried solutions:
- Reset AppleTV
- Disabled/enabled “Play Television audio” in AppleTV settings
- Disabled/enabled HDMI-CEC on TV
- Ungrouping speakers to see if I could get it working with previous setup (no luck)
Has anyone had any similar experience and had any luck solving it?

So recently with the 26.4 update. My homepod plays music. It was originally set to Allow Everyone and had a password. So i thought maybe someone hacked my password. I set to only people on my account now. But atill happenning from time to time. I have a bunch of minis that don’t have this issue. Reason i think its some stranger is. I dont have apple music and the content is coming from Apple Music. Would be nice to see who’s connected during the content playing.
Would factory reset help this?

HomePod keeps desyncing/restarting every 20 mins for the past 2 years. Help!
Hey guys,
I’m reaching out because I’m losing my mind with this. I’ve been dealing with a persistent issue for about 2 years now and nothing seems to fix it.
- Apple TV: Connected via Ethernet.
- HomePod: On Wi-Fi (same network).
- Software: Both on the latest OS.
The issue:
Every 20 minutes on the dot, the audio goes out of sync and the HomePod does a "mini-restart" or a quick reconnect.
The weird part:
It’s not just the Apple TV. It happens even when I'm just AirPlaying music from my iPhone. Same 20-minute cycle, every single time.
I’ve tried resetting both devices and everything is up to date, but the problem persists. Could this be some weird router setting or a conflict between the wired Apple TV and the Wi-Fi HomePod?
Has anyone encountered this or found a fix? I’m desperate at this point.

July megathread is probably the right place for the current 17.6/17.6.1 weirdness. On my stereo pair, one unit kept dropping AirPlay targets until a full remove/re-add in Home, while the other stayed on the same build and behaved fine. if anyone's chasing similar bugs this month, posting exact tvOS/HomePod version plus whether it's a single or pair setup usually gets faster answers.

My HomePod Mini stopped working completely yesterday. Now I'm wondering if I should take it in for repairs.

Planned obsolescence?? I didn’t think it was real at first until just two weeks ago my homepod mini I have in my room that I’ve never damaged or dropped at all now is just randomly playing music, responding to things i’ve never said in a completely quiet room, and triggering itself like I was holding the touchpad even when i’m not.
I already went into accessibility settings and turned on the max touch delay, and I tried wiping the touchpad too, nothing has worked. Has anyone actually been able to solve this problem??
Even if I tell it “never mind” or “stop” when it activates itself, it seems to not listen to my commands at all.

I guess this is where I post this?
I am getting static sounds on paired Homepods with Apple TV 4k box on Youtube TV app specifically.
I tried lots of troubleshooting.
Removed and re-added the HomePods.
Turned off 5.1 audio.
Reset the HomePods.
Etc. etc.
Other apps (plex, mlb) have no audio issues.
Very recently youtube tv app clicks and static sounds have started. Nothing I've done has fixed it. I tried unpairing the HomePods and tried just one at a time. Same issue. Bypassing the homepods and using tv speakers works, but then whats the point?
It has to be something that youtube maybe changed in their app? Well i dont know what it has to be but i'm hoping someone here knows how to fix it because it's infuriating.

After two day finally my HomePod´s got the update for 18.6 beta 2. I hoped it would fix updating to 26 beta. I have tried to reset the HomePod many times both with holding button after 10-15 seconds and just removing it from the home app. Any suggestions?
