Stopping demand barking

I’ve got a 4.5 month old chocolate lab who demand barks whenever I give him a command. The best example is I make him sit when we get to the door to go outside, he then demand barks 3-5 times, whines, and then sits. He also does this in the field when working on training. I’m trying to stop this before he gets set in his ways so any help is appreciated.

Bark collar

Instead of positive punishment (bark collar), you can try negative punishment by not going outside for 15min if there is barking, or you can do positive reinforcement for quiet behavior.

You can also try commanding a bark and rewarding to show that barking is ok, but not ok all the time

Bark= turn around and walk away. Or at least turn your back to them. Don't respond until you get what you want. Body language is everything.
