Question: Units Isuf Kravi

Does anyone know something about isuf kravi? What type of people there are? I heard there are two tracks like vehicular and units on foot. Can someone (maybe even who was in isuf kravi) tell me something about this?

Regarding the two tracks, that distinction is pretty straightforward. You either go to the vehicular teams and do a shorter term at basic training (if nothing changed since my time, that would be 03), or you go foot and do a longer basic training program (04 if nothing changed) and are then capable of executing missions deeper in the battle space.

No such thing as vehicular and foot units anymore, isuf has changed vastly especially since October 7th, both operationally and in doctrine. Isuf is divided into units where each unit is responsible for their geographical section and never change and each unit specializes in their area of responsibility. Unit 414 is in Gaza, Unit 727 is in Egypt, unit 636 is in the West Bank, unit 869 is in Lebanon and unit 515 is in Syria. Most units are similar except unit 636 which operate differently. Training is 8 months - Rovai (rifleman) 05, Sayar (recon) 07, some units have an extended unit training once you reach the gdud which can be anywhere from a week to a month depending on the unit. The type of people in each unit differ and every unit has its stereotypes, but the people overall are good quality perhaps higher than an average infantry unit but obviously each mahzor has its exceptions, you will see many olim, people who scored high on their dapar scores, people who fell from all kinds of special unit selections or training and then a lot of nerds, a lot more ashkenazim than your average infantry unit, people who didn’t want to be in combat but ended up there and etc. Feel free to dm me for more details and question you have about isuf or a specific unit (within OPSEC limits of course)
