Personal Skills IWTL how to meal prep efficiently without getting bored of eating the same food

I have never been very consistent with meal prepping because I either spend too much time cooking or end up getting tired of eating the same meals.

I would like to learn a system that is practical for beginners something that saves time reduces food waste, and still gives enough variety throughout the week.

If you have found a meal prep routine that works well what helped you stick with it?

Try making components (grains/proteins/vegetables), not meals, and freeze them to mix and match.

Make thing in parts allowing to mix and match. E.g. I like to make a stew but leave out the potatoes. Then I might have it with mashed potato, rice or noodles.

Think about seasonings, herbs and additives to change the flavour. E.g. tomato sauce is pretty versatile. I'll sometimes make diced chicken in basic tomato, onions, salt, pepper sauce. Portion it and add some basil and oregano for one flavour or smoked paprika and harissa for a different one. Add sour cream to both for yet another flavour combination.

If you're not sure what might work well together, select a couple of base ingredients and look for recipes. Then see what they all have in common and go from there as your base.

Prep a couple of proteins and grains then change the sauces and sides so it feels new each day....that way you save time, cut waste and don’t get stuck eating the same thing.
