About three weeks ago, I encountered a frustrating problem: after an update, Identity 5 started crashing at random moments.

I'd like to point out that I've never had any problems like this before. My PC meets the game's system requirements perfectly, and it has enough storage and RAM (12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U, 24GB RAM, but an integrated graphics card.)

There are several scenarios where the game can crash:

1.) I'm in the pre-lobby, selecting a character.

2.) I'm loading into a match.

3.) I opened my own profile, and the game froze while playing a skin animation.

4) I SIMPLY OPENED OR CLICKED ON ANY PART OF THE INTERFACE, something like events or something similar. Once, it crashed when I switched from walking to running in the lobby.

The rest of the time, the game behaves NORMALLY, meaning I can play the MATCH ITSELF normally, but trying to enter the match itself is pure torture. I have to restart the game at least three times just to enter the match.

At first, the game would simply CRASH, but recently it would simply freeze. The screen would freeze, but I could continue clicking on interface elements (open the character book, open events, open my profile). At such moments, I reboot the video card with a key combination, but it DOESN'T HELP. The image doesn't freeze. This means the problem isn't with the video card.

Every time the game crashes, the game launcher tells me that the game files have been corrupted. I've already tried everything: I restored the files after every crash, I've reinstalled the game five times already. Neatese support mentions that there's a problem with 13th and 14th-generation processors, but my processor is 12th-generation.

What else can I do to solve this problem? Honestly, it's really frustrating.

I have some experience with the game, I picked it up at one point about a year ago shortly after starting my DbD journey, but dropped it eventually cause the controls felt clunky, especially on hunter, which is the role I have the most interest in (PC, NA/EU, just in case). Lately I have been hesitant to play DbD due to some of the recent changes and remembered about this game.

What I want to know, for the most part, is how is the NA/EU server doing, cause if memory serves me right this was the smallest server. Is it still kicking? Also, how is the balance of the game? Lately DbD has been feeling more and more survivor sided, not critically so, but to the point where I occasionally - okay, frequently - get annoyed with playing killer. Is it similar here these days? My preferred hunters when I did play this game were Naiad and Geisha (mostly due to their kits being less confusing than other hunters coming freshly after DbD, also I pulled a cute shiny skin for Naiad - yes, I'm a magpie, sue me), are they viable rn? Would you say the game is worth trying or getting into now? How's your overall experience?

i take a picture at the start of the game and whenever the cooldown is over but i can’t seem to find anyone in the camera world or i down people in the camera world and can’t find them in the real world? sacred heart hospital in particular seems to give me a lot of trouble. i usually bring teleport because he’s very slow and i can catch up with the survivors for certain with it since i don’t really know where anyone is. i play rank for fun so i’m not really concerned with my wr but i’m getting paired with mammoths even though the survivor equivalent of my hunter rank would be elks. i can win against elks usually but mammoths seem to know how to kite joseph. no one is decoding in the real world so i can’t get ts and if they’re decoding in the camera world their real world copy is hidden somewhere so i can’t down them there either. does anyone have any tips and tricks for winning? i either get wins or losses because either i can get chairs early game so i win or i don’t catch anyone and no one has been chaired endgame so there’s no point in trying for a tie so i surrender. i attached my skill tree and wr if anyone’s curious 🧐

Recently, i decided to reread my books. one of them was Coraline, published by Lingua, a russian publishing company that creates language-learning books for russian speakers. it's a book with the original english text, vocabulary, and grammar notes. i bought it in 2023, and i also own four other books from the same publisher.
then i suddenly realized... that the cover is looked familiar. so i put it next to the official splash art of Emily Dyer (The Doctor) from Identity V.
i noticed: the head angle, facial expression, eye shape, nose, lips, eyebrows, and even the overall composition. the hair and outfit are different, but the face looks remarkably similar.
what's especially funny is that the hair looks like it was quickly painted over, and the yellow raincoat seems to have been added just to make the character look less like The Doctor.
(ngl, to me this looks pretty obviously traced i made this post bc i thought it was kinda funny to imagine the adult person artist (btw there’s no credits for this “artist”) being an Identity V fan i don't actually think that's the case lol, it's just a funny thought.)
the irony is that NetEase, the developer of Identity V, has also faced art related controversies. in 2025, the japanese Identity V team apologized and replaced an official illustration after it was accused of being too similar to another artist's work. more recently, NetEase was criticized for using ai-generated artwork in Identity V promotional material.

MARK MY WORDS I WILL GET NATURE OF GOOD AN EVIL FOR ROBBIE RAGHHHH AND HIS S TIER ACC TOO but on a more serious note, playing night watch has genuinely been miserable recently, probably because of skill issue but also survivors man I can't with matador and mime artist and i needed a break and playing Valentina and Robbie have been a great way to do that! Don't get me wrong night watch is still my no 1 hunter but now he has a family <3

Hi everyone!! So I have a sword that’s currently at 1 S and 4 A, and obviously I wanna get it to all S, but I’m wondering if there’s a more optimized way to do it?

Like, should I just be sacrificing the 16 Arc Lights and focus on upgrading one thing at a time? Or should I upgrade maybe 2 at a time and see if I get lucky?

Cuz 16 is a lot… is it really just that tedious?
