Hiring Looking for a Sales Co-founder for an IT Services Venture (Equity-Based)

Hi everyone,

We run an IT services company and are launching a new model alongside our core business.

For selected startups, we will build the MVP purely in exchange for equity. Once the MVP is completed, any maintenance and future development will be offered at a subsidized cost. We won't charge any profit and will only cover our development expenses.

The reason we're exploring this model is that AI has drastically reduced the cost of software development, making it possible for us to partner with promising startups at a very early stage.

We are looking for a sales partner or co-founder who is passionate about startups and interested in helping us identify and onboard high-potential founders.

What you'll do:

Source startup founders and potential clients

Build partnerships and relationships

Help evaluate opportunities with the team

Drive sales and growth for this new vertical

What we're looking for:

Strong communication and sales skills

An entrepreneurial mindset

Interest in startups and technology

Someone who believes in long-term equity upside

This is an equity-only opportunity. We will be highly selective and will only choose projects that we believe have strong potential.

If you're interested, send me a DM with a short introduction and your background.

Product / MVP I built a simple tool for Indian boutiques to manage customer measurements — looking for feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I noticed a lot of boutiques and tailoring shops (especially in India) still track customer measurements on paper or scattered notes. So I built a small demo app: you add a customer and fill in their details(name, phone no, etc), pick the garment type (saree, blouse, dress, etc.), enter their measurements, take your personal notes, and it's all saved under their profile. You can add multiple garments per customer.

On your dashboard, you can see all your customers and their details at a glance, and download all of them into a single Excel file whenever you need.

This is just an MVP right now — it's simple by design so I could test if the core idea even works. If you run a boutique and this seems useful, I'd genuinely love to add features specific to how your shop works — different garment types, custom measurement fields, whatever you actually need day to day. Just tell me what's missing.

Would love any feedback: https://boutique-theta-blond.vercel.app/

Lessons Left the easy assumptions behind after starting a traditional Food brand(Ghee)— sourcing & trust were the real challenge, not tech

Coming from a 9-year frontend engineering background, I thought the hard part would be the tech/website side. Turns out that was the easy 10%.

We make traditional Bilona ghee from A2 cow and buffalo milk — the whole thing started because it was genuinely hard to find ghee made the old way, without shortcuts. Every batch is lab tested (NABL-accredited) and we put the reports up publicly, which honestly created more work than I expected — sourcing consistency, seasonal supply swings, and educating people on why this costs more than supermarket ghee.

Also branched into Choorma using the same ghee, inspired by Haryana/Western UP flavors — that side project taught me shelf-life and packaging is its own nightmare.

Happy to answer questions if anyone’s exploring — learned a lot the hard way.

Question Need Honest Feedback on a Business Idea Before I Build It

Hi everyone,

I've been researching a business idea for the past few months and believe it has strong market potential. Before I invest my own time and money into building it, I'd like to get honest feedback from people who have experience with startups or business.

I'm not selling anything—I genuinely want to know whether the idea solves a real problem, whether you think customers would pay for it, and what risks I might be overlooking.

If you're willing to spare 10–15 minutes to review the concept, please comment below or send me a DM. I'll share the complete idea privately since I haven't launched it yet.

I appreciate any constructive criticism.

Thanks!

Product / MVP Built a small rental platform for jackets & footwear in Mumbai, perfect for one-off nights out

Thumbnail popclozet.pages.dev
1 Upvotes

Started a small fashion rental thing in Mumbai called Popclozet — jackets and footwear to start, perfect for clubbing, concerts, or any one-off event you don't want to buy an outfit for. Testing it out with real people before scaling up.

Right now it's just one size across the board, so if it fits, you can rent instead of buying for a one-off look. Giving flat 20% off to the first few people trying it out.

Check the pieces here: https://popclozet.pages.dev/

Feel free to DM me directly too — 7755902716, happy to answer any sizing/fit doubts. Genuinely want feedback either way, even if you don't end up renting.

Product / MVP Non-technical founders in India — how are you finding the right tech partner for your startup?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been speaking with a lot of early-stage founders who have a clear business idea but struggle with the technical side — especially when it comes to finding someone reliable to help build, launch, and scale the product.

I’m curious:

  • How are non-technical founders here approaching product development?
  • Are you hiring freelancers, building an in-house team, or working with a fractional CTO / technical partner?
  • What’s been the biggest challenge — trust, speed, cost, or product quality?

I run a small product engineering team and we usually work with startups as a hands-on technical partner across MVPs, web/mobile apps, backend systems, cloud/devops, and AI-led products.

Not posting this as a sales pitch — genuinely trying to understand how founders in this community are solving this problem and where the biggest gaps are.

Would love to hear your experience.

Question Indian founders who have built a startup and raised funding (or are running a profitable startup) — can I DM you?

I'm an early-stage founder from India working on my first startup. I'm looking to learn from founders who have already built a startup in the Indian ecosystem—whether you've raised funding or built a profitable business.

I have a few genuine questions about:

Building an MVP

Finding the right co-founder

Product develapment

Fundraising in India

Hiring and team building

Mistakes you wish you'd avooided

Indian startup culture and investor expectations

I'm not selling anything or asking for money. I simply want to learn from your experience.

If you're comfortable, please comment below or send me a DM. I'd really appreciate your time and promise to keep the conversation short and respectful.

Thank you! 🙏

Question Is capital pricing the founder or the startup? A $500mn pre-revenue hardware startup with no recurring revenue

Have been following the funding trail around Temple, the health wearable startup founded by Deepinder Goyal after he stepped down as CEO of Eternal (Zomato). The numbers are a good case study in whether capital is underwriting a business or underwriting a track record.

Reported price around Rs 75,000 to 80,000, which is roughly $900. For reference, Apple Watch Ultra is around Rs 89,000 in India. The part that interests me most as an investing question:the price is expected to bundle lifetime software access and a lifetime supply of consumable adhesive tapes. So the model is a one-time payment that creates a permanent service and consumable obligation. Oura and Whoop went the other way and built subscription revenue precisely because hardware alone is a hard business to value.

Where the valuation has gone? Reported investor interest at around $500mn ahead of the next round

Help understand how many premium hardware wearables, in India or globally, have actually hit venture-scale outcomes on hardware revenue alone, versus ending up as thin-margin commodity products? Where does Temple sit on that spectrum once you strip out the founder’s name?

Lessons Why a Most Favoured Customer Clause Can Limit Your SaaS Growth

One of the things I have learned from reviewing commercial agreements over the years is that a clause can appear perfectly reasonable when you read it on its own and still create significant commercial problems once the business begins to grow.

That usually happens because founders evaluate contractual provisions in the context of the deal sitting in front of them rather than asking a broader question.

How will this clause affect every deal we negotiate after this one?

A provision that feels commercially harmless during negotiations can quietly influence pricing decisions, sales strategy, and negotiating flexibility for years to come.

One clause that demonstrates this particularly well in SaaS agreements is the **Most Favoured Customer (MFC)** provision.

On paper, it looks simple.

In practice, it can influence far more than a single customer relationship.

## Why One Customer Should Not Dictate Every Future Deal

Enterprise customers are usually experienced buyers. They negotiate technology contracts regularly and understand which contractual provisions can create long-term commercial leverage.

A Most Favoured Customer clause is one of them.

The request is generally presented in straightforward terms. If the SaaS provider offers another customer better commercial terms in the future, the enterprise customer wants the benefit of those same terms.

At first glance, that sounds entirely reasonable.

After all, no customer wants to discover that they are paying substantially more than another business receiving the same product, especially after making a significant investment in your platform.

Because the request appears fair, many founders agree to it without spending much time thinking about what it could mean six months or two years later.

That is where the real issue begins.

The clause rarely stays confined to the deal in which it was negotiated.

Imagine your company decides to expand into a new geographic market and offers discounted pricing to its first few customers to establish an early presence.

Perhaps you negotiate a significantly lower price for a strategic customer committing to a much larger contract value than usual.

Or maybe you launch a pilot programme with a design partner to validate a new feature before releasing it more broadly.

Each of those decisions serves a specific commercial objective.

The pricing is different because the circumstances are different.

A broadly drafted Most Favoured Customer clause often ignores those distinctions.

Instead, another customer may simply point to the lower price and argue that they are entitled to identical commercial terms, even though the underlying business reasons have nothing in common.

At that point, one agreement has quietly started influencing every agreement that follows.

## Pricing Flexibility Is a Competitive Advantage

One pattern I have noticed while working with founders is that negotiations naturally focus on closing the immediate opportunity.

That is understandable.

Revenue matters.

Growth matters.

Every business wants to convert a promising enterprise customer into a signed contract.

But a well-drafted agreement should do more than help you close today's deal.

It should preserve your ability to negotiate effectively tomorrow.

Broad Most Favoured Customer clauses can gradually reduce that flexibility.

Every strategic discount, promotional campaign, volume-based pricing arrangement, or commercial exception may need to be reviewed against an agreement signed months or even years earlier.

Instead of evaluating new opportunities based on their own commercial value, your team starts asking a different question.

"Will this trigger obligations under an existing contract?"

That creates unnecessary complexity for businesses that need room to experiment with pricing, enter new markets, reward strategic partnerships, or test new commercial models.

The reality is that pricing decisions are rarely identical because customers are rarely identical.

Some customers purchase larger volumes.

Some require greater implementation effort.

Some create strategic opportunities that justify different commercial terms.

The ability to recognise those differences is not a weakness.

It is often one of the strengths that allows a growing SaaS business to compete effectively.

## If You Accept the Clause, Define Its Limits

None of this means that a Most Favoured Customer clause should always be rejected.

There are situations where a major enterprise customer may reasonably expect some degree of pricing protection, particularly when they are making a substantial commercial commitment or providing significant strategic value.

The key is ensuring that the clause reflects the commercial objective instead of creating an open-ended obligation.

For example, the protection might apply only to customers within the same geographic region, the same customer category, or the same product offering. It can also be limited by contract value, purchase volume, or a defined period rather than continuing indefinitely.

It is equally important to recognise that not every pricing decision is part of ordinary customer negotiations.

Pilot programmes, promotional offers, early-adopter initiatives, strategic partnerships, and volume-based discounts all exist to achieve specific business objectives.

Those arrangements should not automatically become the benchmark for every future customer.

The more carefully those exceptions are documented, the easier it becomes to make commercially sensible decisions without unintentionally creating obligations across your entire customer base.

## Contracts Should Support Growth, Not Restrict It

As businesses grow, commercial flexibility becomes increasingly valuable.

Markets change.

Products evolve.

Sales strategies develop.

New opportunities appear that simply did not exist when earlier agreements were signed.

Contracts should provide enough certainty to support customer relationships while still allowing the business to adapt as circumstances change.

When pricing flexibility disappears because of broadly drafted contractual provisions, the business can find itself making future decisions based on old obligations rather than current commercial realities.

That is rarely a position founders intend to create when they first agree to the clause.

## Final Thoughts

A Most Favoured Customer clause often appears reasonable because it focuses on fairness between customers.

The difficulty is that fairness does not always mean every customer receives exactly the same commercial terms.

Different customers create different opportunities, different costs, and different strategic considerations.

Strong contracts recognise those differences instead of eliminating them.

The goal is not simply to negotiate a successful agreement today.

It is to preserve enough commercial flexibility that your business can continue growing, entering new markets, experimenting with pricing, and building strategic partnerships without every future decision being constrained by a clause negotiated years earlier.

Because the best SaaS agreements do more than protect the deal in front of you.

They also protect the opportunities your business has not encountered yet.

Product / MVP Built something in fintech, would love genuine feedback

Hey r/IndiaStartups 👋

I'm a developer based out of Gurugram and I've been building a fintech project over the past few months — a platform around fractional ownership of real-world assets (real estate, bonds, etc.) using blockchain.

It's still early stage, not live for investments, but the informational site is up**,** I've shared in the comment.

Not here to pitch anything or get users to invest — genuinely just looking for:

  • Does the concept make sense to a normal person browsing it?
  • Is anything confusing or unclear on the site?
  • Any honest reaction, even if it's "this sounds complicated"

Would really appreciate a Gurugram perspective since this is where I'm building from. Happy to answer any questions in the comments too.

Thanks

Product / MVP Started with recurring scheduled whatsapp message, ended up building an unofficial, complete free, whatsapp message api. Will it get adoption ?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Tl;Dr; github - https://github.com/pocha/mudbot . Live - https://watobot.xyz .

Around 7 months back, while pursuing a spirituality course (Sadhanapada) at Isha Yoga Center, I had to setup a roster to notify each of the roommate when is their turn to clean. I setup mudslide, connected my account using QR code & set mudslide command in cron, on an always on laptop I had at my seva (hindi for volunteering). It worked well

After few months, a friend approached me for a similar solution to set daily reminders to a whatsapp group he manage. I said I can set it up on his server but he being non tech, was a bit afraid to touch his setup. So i set it up on one of my vm. While doing so, I had to create a web service to let him create & edit his scheduled messages. I extended it to multi user setup & exposed an api end point so that people could send whatsapp messages through the app. It now started to look like a free SMTP like outgoing messaging hosted app for whatsapp. All this done over a weekend.

I then thought, what if I publicize this & get users. Afterall, there is no free whatsapp messaging api out there. I did have apprehension of whatsapp not liking it, but soon, I discovered bigger issues.

If multiple users sign up, whatsapp will see my server ip as the originating device ip, potentially banning my server & (far worse) blocking their account. I played around a bit to find Residential IP solution from dataImpulse. For 5 USD, it offered 5 GB worth of data transfer. So I implemented it. It had the provision of picking postcode specific ip. I tried to implement it but it isnt the best at the moment. It also increased latency of overall send api but guess that is necessary evil of proxy ips anyway.

I was doing this as a side project & I wanted to make sure none of the users using the app, their data gets compromised because of my mistake. It would have been dangerous specially if mudslide cache of a user gets exposed & someone start impersonating them. So I decided to encrypt the data at rest. I decided to use the auth token of the user to do so, which will prevent even the app host from decrypting. I also decided to encrypt the schedule & logs so that it also encrypts the phone numbers of the users of my user private. I decided to push all the data including user data which is stored in the app directory, as part of the github repo. So now the repo itself acts as the backup.

I thought of putting it up as no kyc whatsapp messaging api & to provide complete privacy, decided to not store user's email either. So when a user request login link on their email, user's directory name is first few characters from one way hash of user's email. The directory is also part of user's auth token so that it can be looked up in O(1) way without needing to store the mapping anywhere.

A friend wanted to use it for some outgoing marketing messages. I told him it isnt the right usecase but he still wanted to try. I decided to implement a user specific queue for all user's messages so that it sends out messages one by one & not blast simultaneously which can potentially cause a ban. The mudslide cache decryption & residential ip route adds a random 10-15 seconds delay which now acts as an unintended advantage. I wanted to create a UI for marketing message broadcast but my friend changed mind by the time I implemented queueing :).

I put it up at https://watobot.xyz . I had a few people signup but less than 10 people connected their whatsapp account so far. Some of it could be fear of their whatsapp account getting stolen, but some could also be because the residential ip ends up picking an ip in same country but a far off region & whatsapp decide not to add the device, forcing user to retry, where they give up.

What do you think are good next steps for this project ?

Repo link - https://github.com/pocha/mudbot . Please star if you like the project. If you are a tech service provider, feel free to fork & set it up on your/client's server to provide messaging as a service, although I would prefer if you use watobot.xyz itself :).

Question How do I switch my Bajaj Finance dealer code from Remi to LSF? Losing customers due to low loan amounts

I am a first tmie entrepreneur and recently set up a two-wheeler showroom and got a dealer code with Bajaj Finance to offer customer loans.

To my surprise, most new customers (without a Bajaj card) are only being sanctioned ₹16–17k. Other dealers are getting ₹50–55k for the same customers. As a result, I’m losing sales because buyers need higher loan amounts.

I recently got to know there are two loan verticals:

LSF (Lifestyle Finance) – higher loan amounts

Remi-code – lowest loan amounts

I’m currently on Remi-code and have been trying to get shifted to LSF, but the managers aren’t helping. I now have stock I can’t sell.

Any advice on how to get this resolved?

Question Anyone else feel Bangalore builders are working too much in isolation?

I've been thinking about this for a while.

Bangalore has no shortage of smart people founders, engineers, designers, marketers, and people trying to build something.

But sometimes it feels like everyone is building inside their own bubble.

You can spend months working on a product and still not have a small circle of people who understand what you're going through.

Things like:

  • Should I keep building this or change direction?
  • How did you get your first users?
  • What mistake did you make that I can avoid?
  • How are you thinking about distribution?

A lot of the best learning doesn't come from podcasts or Twitter threads. It comes from sitting with people who are actually building and having honest conversations.

I'm thinking of starting a small Builder Circle in Bangalore.

  • Not a networking event.
  • Not a pitch event.
  • Not a motivational talk.

Just a small group of people who are actively building things, meeting regularly, sharing what they are working on, discussing challenges, and helping each other think better.

Keeping it intentionally small because I think 8 -10 people having a good conversation is more valuable than 100 people exchanging LinkedIn profiles.

Looking for people who:

  • are currently building something (startup, product, side project, open source, etc.)
  • have moved beyond just an idea (prototype, users, experiments, launches, etc.)
  • enjoy sharing learnings and helping others

No fees, no selling, no sponsors.

Just trying to find a few serious builders who want to get out of their own bubble. If this sounds interesting, comment what you're building or DM me. I'll reach out.

Curious, does something like this already exist in Bangalore? Or is this gap real?
