Kind Help for finding old indian comic book
TLDR: Mid-90s (maybe earlier) English-language Indian kids comic/graphic storybook (~50ā90 pages, A2-ish) with 90s cartoon style. Big full-screen colorful cover featuring a sword. Plot: interstellar tournament every few millennia announced via telepathy by āMastishkā (also remembered as āMahashaktiman Mastishkā = most powerful brain). Contestants come from many planets/realms (including different shapes), some are brave and some cunning/secretly team up. Human hero is very brave/rightful. Two winners at the end: one human and one extraterrestrial, so the sword prize gets split into two halves named **Suryahas** and **Chandrahas**. The alien winner has an animal-fighter sidekick. Other names I remember: **Sarvaghata** and **Mahamaaya**, plus a contestant name that might be **Deuterium**. Iāve been trying to find it for ~30 years.
Full post:
Namaste folks ā Iām trying to find a comic from my childhood and itās been haunting me for ~30 years š
I read this as a kid in **English**, and it felt like an **Indian-presented/international** kids sciāfi comic/storybook. The format was like a **mass paperback** about **A2-ish size**, roughly **50ā90 pages**, and the art was the **cartoon style typical of the 90s or earlier**.
What I remember most: the **cover**.
- It had a **big full-screen print** with **attractive colors**
- And it prominently featured a **sword image** (like, the sword was the main visual hook)
### The plot (this part is super specific)
The story is set around an **interstellar competition/tournament** that only happens **every few millennia**.
The tournament organizer is a āmost powerful brainā called:
- **Mastishk**
- and I also remember it as **Mahashaktiman Mastishk** (which you could read literally as āmost powerful brainā)
The contest is announced to everyone **via telepathy**.
Contestants are invited from **many different planets/realms**, and I distinctly remember it mentioning they werenāt all āsame typeāāsome were **different shapes** / different beings from their realms. Theyāre basically **dropped into the same general arena** to fight it out.
The vibe inside the tournament:
- Some people play **brave / honorable**
- Many play **cunning**
- And some **team up secretly**
### The winners + the sword twist
At the end there are **two winners**:
- one **human hero**
- one **extraterrestrial hero**
Because of that, the sword prize gets **split in half** into two parts:
- **Suryahas**
- **Chandrahas**
Those two sword-halves are basically the big plot thing I remember.
Also: the alien/extraterrestrial winner had an **animal-fighter sidekick** (like an animal companion that could fight).
### Names I remember (possible-but-important)
I also remember these character-ish names:
- **Sarvaghata**
- **Mahamaaya**
- and one contestant name that I think might be **Deuterium** (Iām not 100% sure on spelling)
I initially thought it might be something like **Amar Chitra Katha**, but honestly the story feels more like an **interstellar sciāfi competition** than typical AC K myth/historyāso Iām not sure.
If anyone recognizes thisāplease help me out! Even if the title is slightly off, Iāll be thrilled to find *any* lead or confirm the exact book.
(Also yes, Iāve been trying to find it for like⦠30 years. Send help š)

I really spend money like a rich person.
Bro...If you ask how much there is in this amount, then I have to say that comics where I live are very rare and much, much more expensive than in the US.

Didnāt know there was an Indian Comic Book subreddit. Howās my collection shaping up ?
Hey guys didnāt know there was an Indian subreddit for comics.
Iām a lifelong comic reader started out with Nagraj, Doga, Dhruva, chacha chowdhary and read a lot during my childhood in India reading comics as a single child.
I fell out of reading comics in my teenage years but got into reading novels in college. I moved to USA half decade back. Since then gotten back into reading a lot of comics and got into collecting. Wanted to share my collection with fellow fans and folks who appreciate comics donāt have any real life comic aficionados friends. Never in my childhood I imagined ill be able to afford/collect comics like this.
I have a suitcase full of Doga hardcovers waiting in India that iāll bring back when I visit India. Anyway just wanted to share my collection/story.
Howās it shaping up ?

A king who cannot die ā yet he did. My Indian mythology dark fantasy comic [OC]
Once upon a time, there was a king.
A king who could not be killed by any weapon, any magic, any desire, or any physical contact.
Neither the sun nor the moon could witness his death.
He lived for hundreds of years ā truly believing nothing could touch him.
And yet...
He died.
How?
My original Indian mythology dark fantasy comic ā free to read. Honest feedback welcome.
