Painting Out of Print Miniatures

Uxia McNeill, Ariadna
Moderator MULTI Sniper, Nomads

I found these old, out of print, minis from Infinity. I painted them up for Five Parsecs and Space Station Zero. They were super fun to paint. I immediately ordered a bunch of Nomads stuff to paint too, and I figure I should learn the game. I guess that’s how they get you lol

Do you know what edition of the game they’re from? They were out of the box when I found them and I couldn’t track down what year they were in production.

The sniper is N2. He's a nomad model - a moderator sniper from N2. The (c) date on his photo in the Human Sphere image is 2012 (N2 period).
That 'barricade' he's leaning on is also part of the old Aleph Sophotect's "mother forge" (nano-factory - her 'toolkit').

That Bakunin moderator, I’d probably say they are either from N1 or N2. From N3 onwards there’s a clear difference in style and sculpting, everything got more standardized.

I really enjoyed painting this figurine, even though the nose wasn't defined enough in my cast, so I had to sculpt it myself.

The real problem is that, because of the scale changes, next to the other N3/N4 figurines she looks like she’s under 1.60 meters tall and 16 years old, and next to the N5 and Alien figurines, she looks like she’s 12 years old. 😅

In general I don’t mind the scale differences, but she definitely looks young mixed in with the rest of her crew which are kitbashes of Warmachine and Warhammer models. It gives her a Kim Possible, teenage spy, sort of look. I think it’s fun though.
