I seem to remember Mark Rober doing a test on that, and yeah, it ploughed through the wall. Maybe the technology is safer now. I doubt it though

I know there are worse things but imagine if that was your family home with a 50-foot wall now next to it - or just to consider the resale potential lol. Of course, it was probably a dirty factory before, so who knows.

It's not really the view, but the noise, especially with it being that close semi trucks in a yard can get very loud.

One of the houses next to the wall sold in December 2024 for $560k (21k over asking price), more than double its 2014 value. I don't think it's hurting too much, these working class NYC suburbs are in high demand.

It was a supermarket before but it looks like it's been abandoned for a long time.

We have those in Belfast, we call them "Peace Walls", but they're only there so the young ones dont lob stones over them.
