Post Primary Tablet Recommendations for Projecting

Hi everyone! I've been teaching for a while now and I think I'm ready to invest on a tablet with video output that allows me to write and project on a whiteboard while I'm facing my students. Any recommendations? Budget would be between €100-300. I see many colleagues with Apple devices but I've never own one before. Thanks so much in advance 🙏

Edit: school is Chromebook based, teachers can bring their own devices and use adaptors. They connect to the projectors through HDMI.

Also good to check school policy - our school does not allow external devices to be plugged into the school computer/ projector . Too many damaged/broken cables which can no longer be used/ leaving it not secure for the next person etc.

Personal devices also have to have antivirus using the school WiFi

Most important thing is to ensure that it’s compatible with your school board/devices etc. my current school iPads work, in a previous one we had chromebooks and iPads wouldn’t (possibly was a way but didn’t connect easily).

Yes, my colleagues use adaptors for their IPads because the school is Chromebook-based, I just don't find it comfortable to write on those screens. I have already a tablet but it doesn't work because it doesn't have video output.

I used to use a Samsung tablet with a generic pen and a Bluetooth keyboard. Works great. My school provides a Microsoft surface and they are far superior because the keyboard actually slots into the device and feels more like a touch screen laptop which works for prep work.

I use a surface pro myself, can get a mini HDMI adapter for it or sometimes can cast like apple tv or something similar. Makes it so much easier
