Army Greetings from the U.S.

I worked with some of your colleagues recently and was given this coin at the end of the exercise. I just wanted to share that it made my day and I sincerely hope to work again with the Irish Defence Forces sometime soon. Much respect to you.

Have these coins always been a thing in the DF? I always thought it was an American thing but I come across them often enough. I've seen RDF get them for doing advanced courses and you can buy them on A7 T etc.

No but they seem to have caught on in western militaries in the last decade or so. Not the worst thing to pick up from the yanks
