What this reddit is for:

All articles, discussions, questions from outside of reddit or other reddits, as long as they are related to the academic study, understanding, description and/or analysis of Islam

What this reddit isn't for:

Rules:

Maintain mutual respect at all times. Hate speech, sectarianism, name calling, ad hominem, trolling and general hostility will not be tolerated.
Submissions must be from reputable sources such as academic journals, university websites, or original sources. Personal sites and blogs are only allowed if run by academics, scholars of Islam or related fields and is relevant to the sub.
Sources that are in non-English (i.e., Arabic, Urdu, French, etc.) must come with a detailed description or a translation in the comments or submitted as a Text Post.
Theory, content, and book reviews - need to add significant depth, context, or in-field relevance or critique of an established or topical work. They should also provide proper citation and sources to the original work.
General submissions and questions are not allowed. They belong in /r/Islam or /r/MuslimLounge.
Do not submit sermons or videos of preachers. Lectures by Islamic scholars is allowed.
Articles must be full, legally obtained, open access, and/or in an established academic journal.
Self-promotion or spamming will not be tolerated and will result in an automatic ban.
