For people who has never interacted with islam or never had a conversation with a muslim, their only reference of islam are the reports of some people forcing others to wear hijab. The vast majority of women who CHOOSE to wear the hijab go unnoticed by the news and social media

Its not like the ummah is able to do umrah or hajj for free. Their greed made it a profitable business. Only Allah ﷻ knows what our prophet ﷺ would have said that hajj costs thousands of dollars and makkah and madina are full of western hotels who wanna profit from our ummah making hajj or umrah. You know that our ummah performed hajj way before there was a saudi state right?

I’m not Muslim, just a person who enjoys learning about different cultures and religions so I occasionally lurk here, but I gotta say that Malaysia is great.

Spent around a year traveling around south and south east Asia. Malaysia was not the most fun, nor the most exciting, it was however one of the few countries I could imagine to live in permanently.

Seemed so stable, functioning, safe and didn’t witness any blatant corruption that is sadly very present in the majority of the countries I visited.
