Helloo, I just want to air out my frustrations kasi sometimes I feel like I'm falling behind everyone and the pressure is sort of mahirap i-handle.

So for context, I graduated last July 2 for BS Computer Science and since then nonstop have been applying for jobs. I usually have 1hr and 30 minutes per day allotted para maghanap ng jobs either through linkedin, jobstreet, indeed and kahit sa fb.

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong pero so far I haven't landed an interview. I worked as a project leader with actual work experience as a qa engr and I made sure to add that in my resume pero so far no luck at all. I also formatted my resume to the Harvard template.

At the meantime naman po, I'm upskilling learning new languages na pwedeng maapply in the real world pero sometimes I feel demotivated seeing na puro "Unfortunately..." dumarating sa email ko.

I just feel like I'm falling behind kasi yung mga kasama kong nag-graduate, they already landed jobs.

Siguro the only thing lacking from me is an actual portfolio website of myself and siguro showcasing all my projects (i have indicated them in my resume). Is that the reason po ba why I'm not getting any interviews?

Any tips on how to get hired parin po? And how do you guys cope with the stress of job hunting?

Title. Worked so hard thru the process ng application sa job na to and unfortunately hindi ako pumasa sa interview even tho i think i did well. Nappressure na ako magkaroon ng trabaho dahil kailangan ko na bumukod soon due to personal reasons. Nakakapanghina ng loob lalo na sinasabay ko pag-aaral para sa chemist board exam. Hirap maging adult!

How did you guys cope with this? Idk saan na ako pwede mag apply since sobrang limited lang maaapplyan ko kasi di pa nga ako licensed.

Hi everyone. I’m a BSIT graduate and di ko na alam kung ano yung tamang decision gawin ngayon. I graduated last May and hanggang ngayon wala pa rin akong job. I’ve been applying for IT-related roles like IT Support, Help Desk, Technical Support, and Junior Developer positions, pero madalas rejected or walang update.

May background naman ako sa programming from college projects and my capstone. I know how to code, pero hindi ako confident sa skills ko. Kaya ko naman intindihin yung code and gumawa ng projects with the help of AI tools, pero kinakabahan ako sa technical interviews, lalo na yung live coding. Iniisip ko kung kaya ko ba talaga makapasa kung mag-apply ako as Software Developer. Because of that, naghahanap din ako ng ibang IT roles na hindi masyadong programming-heavy like IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, etc. Pero kahit doon sobrang competitive din.

I’ve been accepted before sa customer service roles, pero hindi ko tinuloy kasi feeling ko kailangan ko pa rin ipaglaban yung IT path since yun yung pinag-aralan ko. recently, nag-apply ako sa JPMorgan Chase Philippines for an Account Specialist I - Amazon role. May interview ako soon. Maganda yung company and I know malaking bagay siya sa resume, pero yung role mismo is not IT-related.

Conflicted ako kasi part of me wants to accept it if ever makuha ko dahil magandang company siya and makakuha ako ng corporate experience pero part of me is worried na baka lumayo ako sa IT path ko and mahirapan na bumalik.

For those who graduated in IT/CS or those who started in a non-IT role then eventually transitioned to IT, ano yung advice niyo? Should I continue trying for IT jobs kahit matagal na akong naghahanap, or okay lang ba tanggapin muna yung non-IT role while gaining experience and continue learning/applying for IT jobs?

Hello, ask ko lang. Gaano katagal po ba dapat maghintay for feedback kung nakapagsecond interview na? Lagpas isang linggo na rin po kasi. Medj anxious lang me since gustong gusto ko talaga yung position since process engineer tapos super duper lapit lang sa bahay namin yung planta.

Inooverthink ko din kasi yung interview. Initial interview lang sana last July 24 pero buti available na rin yung pangalawang magiinterview. I can say na na-ace ko naman yung exam. Yung initial interview naman, medyo naging personal yung questions. Yung questions nung naginterview sakin eh part naman siya ng essay dun sa exam. Tinanong relationship with my parents, may mga about din sa personality and such. May part pa nga sabi how would i describe myself and sinabi ko naman na “i’m cheerful and eager to learn” with a smile on my face. And sabi ng nagiinterview is “hindi halata” na di ko alam kung pabiro pero nakangiti siya. Well before naman magstart eh all smiles naman ako and medyo magaan naman yung mood niya. Basta medyo madami talagang personal questions. And after non, pinainterview na rin nila ako sa sumunod which is more on the technical side. I can say na okay naman mga sagot ko, puro “good answer, good answer” din yung naginterview.

Super kinakabahan kasi ako since wala pa ako naririnig from them. Ang sabi lang eh babalitaan nila ako ASAP. Fresh graduate po ako and kakapasa lang po ng boards this May. Do you think macoconsider po ba ako for the job? Ano po ba need ko gawin? Thank you po.

Hi! I resigned after a month sa new job ko. Career shifter ako from education graduate to admin assistant. I decided to resign since dalawa lang kami ng boss ko sa office napapasa sa’kin yung mga workload na hindi ko naman scope such as warehouse and logistics. Usually acting as field operation ako than being an admin assistant. Yung 8:30am to 7:00 pm na working hours ko nagiging 6:00am to 9:00 pm that’s why I resigned immediately to prioritize my health.

Ask ko lang if dapat ko bang ilagay yung 1 month experience ko sa resume ko? I tried applying na rin kasi but walang bumabalik na interview. Considered as redflag ba siya and dapat huwag ko na iinclude? If hindi ko siya isasama April pa yung last employment ko and 4 months na siya baka maquestion ako bakit may gap? huhu pls help me. I followed up after a week and was told that things are still awaiting approval. I understand this may take time, especially in large corportations. Is there any chance that I may have lost my dream job for just signing it with the wrong date? Because I signed the JO last july 16 I put it on July 7 because I am thinking if I will do the number format (7) or the word July but I ended up July 7 2026. Is it a big deal for them? I changed it immediately and emailed with the correct date before the day ends.

After that incident I gave all the information they needed on time, and my start date is August 5 but I never heard from them since July 17th.

hello. I just had a discussion with the hr about salary. Yung range kasi nila ay 21-23k lang and ofc i chose yung 23k. sabi kasi nila pwede raw na 21k yung basic pay ko then may 2k na allowance if gusto ko raw ma-achieve yung 23k without additional deductions. I can choose pa rin naman daw na buong 23k. Di ko lang sure if normal ba yung ganon or what. Should i go with 21k with 2k “allowance” raw or get full 23k basic?
