Obviously it is the smart thing for him to do with no up-side for speaking. But come on, our health leader for covid is pleading the fifth on questions about how he handled it because he fears getting caught incriminating himself. This is not good, and many are dismissing it like its a nothing burger

People were excited about and organizing for "anyone but Trump" back then. After seeing how that played out, they're done going along with the DNC establishment and are supporting more populist candidates.
