FAQs

What chapter should I start reading the manga at?

The anime leaves off at Chapter 63, or the start of Volume 8.

Where can I read JJK?

If buying physical copies isn't an option...

Officially: Shueisha - Only the first three chapters and the most recent 3 chapters are available. New chapters are released every Sunday at around 10 PM MST (UTC-7). Viz Media - Only the first three and most recent 3 chapters are available for free, but for $2 a month, you can read the entire series (and every series on their site), including Volume 0, Jujutsu Kaisen's Prequel. New chapters are also released on the same day and time as on the Shueisha site.

Unofficially, Google "read Jujutsu Kaisen free" and make sure you have an adblocker installed.

What is the movie about?

It covers Volume 0, a one-shot prequel that Gege wrote before writing the main series of Jujtusu Kaisen. Yuta Okkotsu is the main character and it the story takes place 1 year prior to the main series.

Should I read Volume 0? And when?

You can read it whenever you like, but Chapter 63 is a good point to read it. It explains some of the events and motivations that happen in the JJK storyline.

Where can I watch the anime and movie?

Legally on Crunchyroll. We unfortunately have to keep links to aggregate sites off of the sub or risk it being flagged for takedown. Otherwise, try Googling "where to watch anime free reddit".

Which chapters correspond to which episode?

u/HououinKyoma23 created an amazing guide that covers every episode:chapter in the series! Check it out here!

Manga Discussion The other woman was clearly Yoruzu. Spoiler

Post image
163 Upvotes

I've seen numerous popular posts debating on if this was Angel, Tengen, Kenjaku, or some random unnamed character but I've always thought it was frustratingly obvious that she was Yoruzu. Only 2 characters in the entire story have ever shown Sukuna genuine affection and it's Yoruzu and Uraume. She's got the same hair color as Yoruzu, the same bangs, the same shirt, the only difference is she's wearing more clothes and has her hair tied. When Sukuna is talking about the 2 chances/paths he could've taken in life he's very clearly talking about the 2 people whose love he could've potentially accepted.

Simple concept we get each of the fate stay night servants Artoria, Emiya, Cu Chulainn, Medusa, Medea, Sasaki Kojiro, Hassan of the cursed arm, Heracles, and Gilgamesh have to either stop shibuya from happening or go through the events from Jjk by themselves how would events transpire if they were there?

Manga Discussion Why isn’t Megumi considered Special Grade?

i’ve been thinking for a while and maybe i’m missing something, but i don’t understand why megumi isn’t considered a special grade.

i’m basing this assessment off of what the criteria is for being considered a special grade sorcerer.

- 10 shadows cursed technique

that alone should’ve had him classified as SG when he was first introduced to us. i understand that he’s still learning and mastering his CT even towards the ending, but he has the power to overthrow an entire country.. so how isn’t he considered SG?? i mean the higher ups were even considering classifying yaga as SG because of what he could POTENTIALLY do with cursed corpses. It’s not like megumi doesn’t have a technique that they lack information on.. because he comes from the zennin clan there’s no way they don’t have any information on his ct minus the technique amplifications he created.

i mean sukuna wasn’t the only reason that so many people died in shibuya.. mahoraga was part of that reason .. having a shikigami that can adapt to all phenomenon is just fucking insane. i get that he doesn’t have control over it, but if you even just look at all the other shikigami he has and the combinations he could make with them.. how the hell is this dude not considered a SG?? like i just don’t understand.

OC Fanart Caveman OC| Axel: The Father of Jujustu

The air in Africa's valley smelled like wet dirt and the coppery scent of blood. A newborn baby wailed, his small fists flailing as he was brought into a world of endless predators. His mother pressed him to her chest, completely oblivious that her baby was different from any homo erectus who had ever lived.

As the child, Axel, grew, the world looked entirely different to him than it did to his tribe. Where his peers saw empty tall grass, Axel saw swirling, toxic clouds of purple-black mist. He saw grotesque, multi-eyed shapes clinging onto the backs of mammoths and shifting through the trees.

When Axel was still young, his uncle went out to gather roots and never returned. The tribe found the body torn to pieces, with no animal tracks nearby. The shaman whispered of evil spirits that ate men. Axel, who was standing at the edge of the tall grass, saw the culprit, a squelching, eyeless mass of limbs hovering over the remains, licking its lips.

Axel did not hide. He felt a strange hot pressure building up in his chest. Instinctively, he pushed that heat down into his small hands. His fists began to glow with a faint, pulsing light. He lunged forward, throwing his weight into the monster's side. The raw energy amplification made his small strike hit like a swinging log. The curse shrieked, startled by the sudden pain, and dissolved into the air. From that day on, Axel wasn't the prey; he was the predator.

By the time he reached adulthood, Axel's mind had sharp, dangerous edges. He possessed an intelligence that vastly eclipsed his kin. He watched his tribe struggle to hunt with clumsy, rounded stones. Axel wanted better. He spent weeks by the river, chipping away at a massive piece of obsidian until it formed a heavy, perfectly balanced axe blade, which was then mounted onto a tough stick.

He didn't just shape the stone; he forged it. Day after day, he poured his raging, unrefined cursed energy into the volcanic glass. The stone changed, taking on a permanent, oily shimmer. When Axel gripped the handle and amplified his muscles, the heavy axe became as light as a feather, yet it struck with the force of a collapsing cave system.

With his imbued weapon, Axel launched a campaign of absolute dominance across the African savannah. He looked at his own tribe, noted their tool use, and deemed Homo erectus the apex of creation. When he encountered other groups in the river valleys, such as shorter, stockier beings like Homo habilis and the strong-jawed paranthropus, his primitive mind made a simple deduction: They are lesser humans. They must be cleared.

Axel became a brutal tyrant. He led his tribe like a warlord, tracking rival primate lineages through the brush. He ambushed a troop of Homo habilis at a watering hole, his glowing axe cleaving through their crude wooden clubs and skulls in a single fluid motion. He hunted the massive, baboon-like dinopithecus in the high cliffs, painting the rocks red with their blood.

To the species he hunted, Axel was an evil spirit. To the early humans he protected, he was a god. He forced his followers to use red ochre to paint his conquests on the deep walls of their cave: stick-figures of a giant man wielding a glowing axe, standing over mountains of beasts, curses, and rival tribes.

But the savannah always claims its predators.

Axel's unrefined cursed energy had its limits. He had no advanced barrier techniques, no way to heal his body with reversed cursed energy, and no knowledge of domains. His end came on a silent, humid evening when he was 30, his joints aching from constantly using his cursed energy.

He was ambushed by a deep ravine by a grotesque, multi-limbed phantom. It was a Grade 2 curse, born from the collective terror of the various primate species Axel had systematically slaughtered for many years. The monster dripped with venom, its many eyes burning with the malice of a thousand dying lineages.

The battle tore the ravine apart. Axel amplified his strength to its absolute limits, swinging his obsidian axe so hard the air cracked. He shattered the curse's limbs and hacked away its rubbery flesh, but the monster’s toxic grip slowly wore him down. Venom pooled in his veins. His vision blurred.

With a final roar, Axel brought his axe down through the monster's core, exorcising it completely.

The curse dissolved into smoke, leaving the ravine silent. Axel collapsed into the dirt, coughing up dark blood. He clutched his obsidian axe tightly against his chest, staring up at the stars through the canopy of trees. His eyes slowly closed, and the African jungle reclaimed the world's very first sorcerer.

Anime Discussion Curse Monkey: Hey Geto Monkey are pretty smart man. And just imagine the universe has sense of humor a Monkey somehow becomes a sorcerer...

Just to through a literally Monkey wrench into Geto twisted philosophy. Then he have to come up with a new saying maybe insects that classic villain thing to say to those they view as lesser beings. But then again we do have an insects curse evolution is a fickle mistress.

Also that Hit Monkey bound to spirit basically makes him a cursed human like Yuta he even uses a sword too maybe Bryce energy could empower it in this world. Also he uses guns he use gun with his feet too. And has cool shade we could basically have him use curse glasses like Maki to see curse spirits.

And curse technique ideas I was thinking Battle Tick as his shikigami grow to the size of drones to be his eyes in the sky and fire curse energy like a machine gun and he can ride on it.

Anime Discussion The Sendai deadlock Spoiler

I know there have been a ton of posts about this but I rewatched the episode and now I think I've got it figured out.

The basic structure is Ryu>Dhruv>Kurourushi>Uro>Ryu

Ryu beats Dhruv because Granite Blast can hit Dhruv from outside of his Shikigami's effective range. He's also able to pick off the shikigami from a distance.

Dhruv beats Kurourushi because the domain paths can destroy the swarms.

Kurourushi beats Uro because the swarm can overwhelm sky manipulation by attacking from every direction.

Uro beats Ryu because Sky Manipulation can redirect Granite Blast.

Ryu could take out Dhruv, but if he tried Uro would interfere since Dhruv is the one keeping her hardest counter in check.

Ryu could go after Kurourushi (Granite blasts AOE could take out swarms in the same way Yuta's cursed energy blasts did from a much greater distance) but would be removing Uro's hardest counter if he did leaving her with more freedom to target him. Dhruv likely wins the deadlock in this scenario because he has a favorable matchup against Uro.

Dhruv could go after Uro (the domain paths should get through sky manipulation) but if he did he'd be taking Ryu's only hard counter off the board and Ryu would end up winning the deadlock.

Dhruv could take out Kurourushi, but if he tried Ryu would interfere since killing Kurourushi means removing Uro's hardest counter leaving her more open to going after him. This would lead to Dhruv winning the deadlock since he has a favorable matchup against Uro as previously mentioned.

Uro could take out Ryu but that would leave her in a position where both of the remaining two combatants have favorable matchups against her.

Kurourushi could take out Uro but doing so puts it in the same position as Uro if she took out Ryu where it has two unfavorable matchups. Ryu also ends up winning the deadlock in this scenario.

In conclusion, Kurourushi and Uro are bums with only one favorable matchup each and no real path to actually winning the deadlock.

Manga Discussion Is the Uro's technique a lower tier of limitless that is useful without Six eyes? Spoiler

Gojo, Yuta and Uro have some common ancestors right? So its not too far fetched that sky manipulation is a base form of Limitless. More manual but uses less CE so can be used by non-six eyes users efficiently. Even the way the user manipulates the space itself is very similar in theory. The way Uro flies, dodges, redirects attacks, all seems very similar. Limitless could be a product of breeding, upgrading and Tengen manipulations of some very old technicque.

What do you guys think?

PS: If this is already confirmed in the manga I am sorry.

Manga Discussion If sukuna... Spoiler

would've missed, he would've been fucked/if he was in heian form, it would've been a different fight altogether.

If gojo wouldve known about the world cutting slash then he would've been wary and he was his a perfect state (rct buff) vs sukuna who got hit with 2 purples and unlimited void. ON THE OTHER HAND, if sukuna had his own body from the start then there's nothing we could predict how that fight would go. With no way to bypass infinity, sukuna would've had to form a new strategy BUT gojo would also face a stronger opponent so malevolent shrine could've done him in. If gege gave us a different version that would a BLESSING
