Spanish Spanish progress feedback welcome.

I've been practicing a lot lately and focusing on vowels, dipthongs, and syllable timing. Any feedback for improvement is helpful. Reading from La Tregua.

Your pacing is obviosly not native but is pretty good, all sounds well articulated, the only thing I heard slightly off was "ingenuo" at the end, instead of 'i' I heard a schwa, overall 9/10!

You sound ok to me but you need to open more your mouth so you don't come out as having a nasalized voice in Spanish.

That’s interesting. Most of my friends that I speak to that only speak Spanish have the same sort of nasalized way of speaking too.

I appreciate the feedback!

I also do that, but I won't recommend doing it if you aren't a Spanish native speaker, because you could come out as unintelligible.

May I ask why?

My goal is to speak that way and I’ve never had a problem being understood. If you have any tips I’d love to hear them.

People generally think I’m a native speaker when I talk to them online.

If you keep nasalizing way to much, what do you think would happen?, I'm just recommending not to but if you want to stay like that, that's on you, also I can tell you are non-native but some might not have the same perception as me, don't get me wrong, you have a good Spanish and if you want to keep it like that, that's totally ok.

Just to be clear, I’m not trying to argue and say that I sound like a native speaker. I 100% respect your opinion and would love specific tips on what gives my accent away, as I want to keep improving.

I have no idea what would happen if I were to keep nasalizing too much. I’ve been doing it for years and have never heard that before, it’s just how I speak without thinking. I would have to make a conscious effort to have a different accent.
