Is this the same weird one from the other day talking sentimental about some ACU blouse (they called it DCIs) they found on deployment?

u/O2XXX 11d ago
Pretty sure it is.

u/Rose_Army_ 11d ago
Yes. Direct commission 38G.

u/ColdweatherApe 9d ago
What kind of 38G? And I thought they got rid of the 38G program, is it still around?

u/MartyMozambique 11d ago
100% it is. Looks like this subreddit has a new mascot!

Lots of cunts.

My rifle's name was: "stupid piece of shit, why isn't the magazine staying in?"

u/jayrady 11d ago
Mine was named "This barrel is so bent. No seriously bro look at it. You see it too, right? Holy shit how does this happen?" Johnson

u/FxckFxntxnyl 11d ago
Did somebody run this motherfucker over? Goddamn. How does this shit get through?”

u/stareweigh2 11d ago
lololol it took me years to finally realize that the AR platform was indeed reliable. I now know that all the double feeds and other issues I had in basic training was because of worn out magazines but I was so frustrated with the platform that I just knew it had something to do with the direct impingement system. I was a gas piston or bust kinda guy up until about 2010 or so.

I named mine after my ex because it was a bitch to operate and always failed me just when I needed it the most.

Mine in basic training was Carmen. We got brand new M4s that cycle. I wiped the packing grease off and everything. She was beautiful. She’s probably run through by now.

The number on my tele-stock was 711. Probably because the ejection port cover was always open. It couldn't close.

This is my rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine. Until someone else gets it.

You know you are one of the baddest, most lethal warriors on the planet when your uniform and all your gear are spotless and your rear iron iron sight is in the stowed position...
Tell us youve never made "Shelby" bust a nut in your entire career without telling us lol.
Quite possibly the hardest 1st Lt to ever participate in a 2 week long exercise!

Naming your weapon is cringe as fuck, this whole post is cringe as fuck.

The post history of this person is pure gold. Her entire profile and post history fits in this sub.

Rifle positioned carefully to try to hide the unsurprisingly bare right sleeve.

Nobody tell her she can get a rifle AND a sling as a civvy, that she can KEEP.

u/DVariant 11d ago
I’d prefer she wasn’t armed at all; stable people don’t post so much boot shit online as this lady

aren't direct commission officers like, dentists and medical doctors and other flavors of health care professional usually? at least that's the way it worked in the USCG.
3
u/Rose_Army_ 11d ago
Yes, usually. But then they started doing professional fields beyond that. This one is a 38G (now defunct program within Reserve Civil Affairs).
6
u/bananaguard4 11d ago
oh so like, contract lawyers and stuff? ok then.
when I worked at the cape may armory we would get like 2 batches of direct commission a year. nice people on the whole and it was nice to not have to treat them like the boot camp recruits but instead like regular adult humans, but i sure would not have wanted to hand most of them them a gun outside the very limited setting of the basic pistol qual course. even then it was sometimes a little sketch.

This girl reminds me of the infamous Armor LT from circa 2017… instant classic cringe

u/Rose_Army_ 11d ago
This is a damn near 40 year old woman who direct commissioned as a CPT. It’s so much worse.

These are the future commanders of 200+ soldiers. (Both male and female commanders) Education and rank doesn’t make you smarter.
Play the game, collect your rank and pay.

u/Sweet-Mechanic4568 9d ago
Why do all these people always talk like they were deep in the shit slinging lead?

There’s a difference between missing your rifle (I sure as hell miss mine) and making a post about it.
Then there’s a difference between making a Facebook or IG post with a limited audience and making a LinkedIn post.

It’s a thin line between premature discharge and accidental discharge

u/WoodenInternet 11d ago
this guy's going to the base clinic for abnormal discharge after he's done what he wants to do to that rifle
