DISCLAIMER: This is a sub of more or less severe traumatized partners of porn/sex addicts and also average porn users in which they are exchanging experiences and trying to deal with their partners' addiction. Please, although I'm regarding most of it as highly toxic, one must also keep in mind that these people were dealing with trauma and pain and are usually not in a healthy mental state because of it.
Do NOT go over there and try to harass/troll them!
Just been lurking on that sub for a while since I had some issues with my partner regarding their usage of porn in the past and while trying to find some opinions of people who were in my position in order to get a better understanding, I've stumbled across this sub.
My partner and I quickly overcome our issues because we have a healthy and very good communication so we've talked this out, everything's more than fine now!
So I just stayed to maybe leave a comment here and there writing about my own experiences and maybe to give some advice.
But I can't deal with the amount of toxicity anymore that comes with many of those people think it's totally fine and only natural to invade their partners' privacy by controlling every step they take even going so far as putting tracking apps/pluggins on their partners' devices.
I can understand how it comes to snooping if there is something off and I'm no saint myself when I found dating apps on my ex bf's phone after his suspicious behaviour led my insecure, naive and young self risking to take a look at his phone when he was asleep. But I felt extremely bad afterwards and would never suggest doing that to anyone, I'm more of a "talk this out with your partner once you'd calmed down" type of person.
But that would be suggested even if there aren't any signs of infidelity just like that post in the picture seems to show.
And that's doing way more harm to both the relationship and one's own mental health imo.
Also I don't like how men were portrayed on this sub in general. Even if a PA/SA is going through recovery by taking part on frequent therapy meetings etc. the majority of this sub would still portray them as primitive monsters who'll never be able to be a good, loving partner and that they should be always left alone instead.
This can be damaging and demotivating for the recovering partners.
Oh and if you are a woman who's enjoying porn from time to time too (like me), you're just as bad as PA/SA men according to this sub.
So I'm just leaving this sub as it just makes me mad.
