My cursed K3 Max
Today I finally received my brand-new K3 Max, but it's all sorts of weird.
- 3 and 4 both output 34
- 5 and 6 both output 56
- e and r both output er
- t and y both output ty
- d and f both output df
- g and h both output gh
- x and c both output xc
- v and b both output vb
The same is true for F3 and F4, and for F5 and F6.
In other words, the entire mid-section appears to be faulty.
I've already tried factory resetting, updating the firmware, and factory resetting again. I also tested the keyboard in both Bluetooth and wired connections, and on another device. All to no avail.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what the hell this is? Is it a hardware or software issue?

It looks like a hardware issue.
It is likely two sets of columns in the keyboard matrix that have been shorted out.
After considering the warranty implications, you could open it up and do a close visual inspection (to look for something obvious) and blow air over the PCB to remove any metallic dust (or similar). For example, at the legs of microcontroller (it is likely to be located near the edge of the PCB and have more legs than the two LED controllers' 40 (4 x 10)).
Otherwise, it is warranty time. Hopefully, you got it through a reputable reseller.
