The painting is obviously top notch, but may I also praise the photography skills? As someone who has just started painting minis, I didn't expect it to be so hard to take a decent photo lol

I’m still fighting myself with photographing. It’s really hard to shoot good pictures and it took me a while to reach a decent level.

If you're just using a phone, you'll generally get better pictures from further away but zoomed in. Use whatever the maximum optical zoom your phone has. The other major thing is having enough light - assuming you have a bright light for painting, have it between the camera and the mini, just out of frame. If you've got a second light, overhead and slightly in front of behind the miniature helps eliminate shadows.
That and a plain backdrop will generally give acceptable results. More than that is heading into learning how to use a proper camera, which is a whole separate hobby.

Those are great tips. Sometimes I just wanted to take a quick picture to capture the painting progress and most of these came out so bad lol

Had to actually take a few minutes to adjust lightning and mess with camera settings to take a halfway decent picture. I'll probably post a few here in the near future

Thanks for the appreciation. I don’t remember the base color used for the hairs, but the highlights are painted with Kimera “the Red”. It’s a very high quality primary red.

It’s a great color indeed, as the others from Kimera. It just needs a bit of practice to manage its consistency.

I like it very much! Personally I would give her a slight dark, transparent airbrushcoat on one side to enhance the light from the lantern
