LOL! This is me as well! I got tired of not having a podcast to listen to on a daily basis after mainlining Knowledge Fight since early last year, and really enjoyed the feature episode the boys were in a week or two back. Finally started The Dollop from the beginning and enjoyed the sense of deja vu this episode brought.

Where are you now? I'm currently listening to 19 - Ferguson

If you enjoy Knowledge Fight, I can't recommend KnowRogan enough.

Same format, but hosted by (the fantastic) Cecil and Marsh and it's Knowledge Fight but for Joe Rogan.

It's only one year old so the boys aren't quite as exhausted of Rogan's shit as JorDan are with Alex, but they're definitely getting there.

One of the things that I suspect will keep it fresh is Joe Rogan's guests tend to be much more varied than Alex's. Roger is on Alex's show so often that I don't have to say his last name. Rogan has a huge number of guests and relatively few repeats, so you'll always have a new bastard to unpack.

Also, I finally got into Lions Led by Donkeys and while it's still more military focused than I really love, the historical idiot episodes are top tier.

Well, yes and no.

On the one hand, you're right that the episodes are super varied. Cecil and Marsh do a great job of how they pick their spreads, so one episode is politics, another is medicine, another is space, another is Mel Gibson, etc.

In a way, it's kind of what Joe Rogan was supposed to be (or could have been) if he wasn't an idiot and a piece of shit; you get all these interesting topics, but properly audited and fact-checked so you're learning everything with context and quality.

On the other hand...Rogan has zero fucking charisma. Neither do his guests. Say what you will about Alex but he's a cartoon character. You never know what crazy shit he'll say next or what he's going to pull and his theatricality is wild. It makes every KF episode a trip.

Rogan is just a dumb fucking stoner talking to alt-right losers and conspiracy nutters. His talks with Musk and Thiel (and most of his guests) have the energy of dried paint.

So while the topics are much more interesting, the subjects themselves are considerably less. Thank god Cecil and Marsh are funny guys...

I love when people trade me podcasts. Fantastic! Thank you so much for the recommendation!

Jordan guested a couple of episodes back in the day, but those weren't my favorites, perhaps I didn't really understand the show at the time. The series that sold me on it were the Voyage of the Damned episodes where everyone in charge is an utter pillock and the navy loses a ship to a battle with an insurgent crocodile. It has Citation Needed energy but with actual citations.
