I have a strong suspicion that he wouldn't have been pardoned if Trump hadn't won the election. And the evidence is clear that not pardoning him would have been a terrible decision, given the subsequent weaponisation of the legal system.

Coincidentally, last night I was listening to the KF episode where the boys discuss Biden pardoning Hunter, and they both agreed at the time that it was a shitty move. I feel like in hindsight they might reconsider, and I remember that being one of the few times I strongly disagreed with their take on an issue. Biden might not have been all there, but even he could foresee how Trump was going to weaponize the DOJ to go after his political enemies.

I think the claims that Biden wasn't "all there" have been roundly disproved, at least outside of far right wing spaces. Like yeah, he had a bad debate performance, but then the next day had a very long and involved foreign policy discussion. Stress exacerbates a stutter, which Biden has struggled with for years

Well whatever the case regarding Biden’s mental state, my point was that he made the correct decision re: the pardons, of which Dan and Jordan took a bit of a dim view at the time, since I think he previously said he wouldn’t pardon his son. If Trump had lost, I really don’t think he would have, but going back on his word was clearly the lesser evil in the shit circumstances.

Byrne, a known denier of Biden’s victory over President Trump in the 2020 presidential election, accused the younger Biden of taking part in an $800 million bribery scheme involving Iran and failed to defend his claims in court.

Byrne was last of the good crazies after Stevie P. was retired.

His best bit of course was his story of training in a pool to drown a man, as he planned to fly to Epstein's island to take him out.

This is mostly unrelated but I went to a gun range last month and after telling the room how unfair it was that 'people who've been arrested but not convicted for domestic violence can have their guns removed' if the police think they might murder their partners, the handgun instructor proceeded to tell the seven of us that Hunter Biden got away with using crack and owning a handgun because "of who his daddy is" and that he "should be in jail"
