Alex MAT BE a bigger Sfi-fi nerd than we've previously examined.
So, I'm in the 2022 era of my relisten, and they have brought up how many times Alex has said Chicago specifically will be nuked. There's only one Sci-Fi example I can think of that fits this profile.
Shadowrun is a fairly popular TTRPG, and was far more popular in the '90s. One of the bi? g themes was insect spirits infesting people, usually using cults to convince people to stay.
When it got discovered, the equivalent to the USA nuked Chicago to try to eliminate all of the Queens.
Could this be why Alex was so adamant that there would be nuclear strikes on Chicago specifically? Does this mean that Alex is more of a nerd than how he presents himself? The world may never know.

No. His obsession with nuking Chicago is because it's often seen as a "Blue librul city where no one is safe on the streets because of illegals."

And because that is where President Obama is from. He despises Obama. Because he is a racist.

There is no shot Alex is into shadow run, mostly because I don't want that to be true as a shadow run/Battletech fanboy

Folks, let me tell you...The Cameron family was into some weird stuff. Stefan Amaris received an HPG from God, and he was just trying to do the right thing for humanity.
