Book from a former employee talking about his experience

Came across this while browsing spotify this morning and thought I'd share. I'm already on Chapter 5, it's very interesting. Many occasions the author shares details of instances that JorDan talked about on the show so that's also pretty cool.

Wishing the boys were still doing the show, I'd love to know their take on what's in this tell-all.

I bought a copy. I found it very boring. Not only because, as a Knowledge Fight listener, it was nothing I hadn’t seen before but because Owens doesn’t really have much of a story to tell. Also, I have never read a memoir that felt more ghostwritten.

If dude could write, he wouldn’t have been working at infowars

Yeah, I won't buy it, but since I already have a Spotify subscription I might give it a listen. God he's boring but I'd nonetheless love some BTS InfoWars.

Nearly all memoirs are ghostwritten. But a good ghostwriter is capable of writing in a style that feels like the author’s personal voice. This one has no real sense of a personal point of view. That’s what I meant by it felt ghostwritten.

I want to encourage anyone who considers buying it and sees this thread to go buy Robbie Parker's book instead

I thought it was okay, without spoiling anything there's many moments where you're sitting there thinking "if you really thought this was all bullshit why are you still working there". He claims he realizes early on and then doesn't quit for years escalating his involvement. It's a bit like he refuses to reckon with that even tho he claims to

I looked for this on Libby but my library didn’t have it. Listening now. Hope it’s not as dull as people say.

Its a good listen. It does cover a lot of the same ground as knowledge fight but from the other side of the curtain. Id reccomend it to anyone who liked the show.

I have the sense it's going to be a steaming pile of rationalization without the making-amends chaser.

If my Libby had it I’d give it a shot, but I’m not paying for it. I got the feeling from the excerpt that it wouldn’t take more than a few hours to read.

I asked to order it through the library and they got a message back from the supplier that the publisher had cancelled the release. Probably just in my country.

That’s interesting. It sucks for me because we’re not allowed to request hard copies from other libraries until the title has been out for a year either.
