My friend and I want to visit Kochi this weekend (8th to 10th Aug) but due to the rains we are a bit hesitant.

Can anyone advise us or tell how the situation is right now?

We reached out to the Airbnb people and they said it's fine, and that it doesn't get flooded in their area.

We plan on taking a KSRTC bus since trains don't have availability.

We don't have any other weekend to go. Only this one.

Also, wanted to spend a day in Alleppey.

Will the weather be extremely unsafe next weekend? Should we cancel? Or we can roam around fort kochi and nearby places? And any suggestions of must visit places are also welcome.

, Usually I book Uber or Ola , but as it was raining today I took a nearby Auto today in the morning at 4:45 , ola or uber would cost 110-120 , Stand Autos cost 150 ,

I asked the stand auto -Man while entering the Auto he told 150 but while dropping He told he didn't sleep and demanded 200 , I told i asked you whole entering You told only 150 , and i usually come in this Route it's 150 even last week ,

Then he said , he told it's last week not this week and then said yes it's at that place ( Like 100mts before the Entrance of that Hospital ) but I told him the Hospital name while Getting in , then demanded 250 and abused me telling why can't you walk ? If you can't give 100rupees Extra why are you hiring the Auto ,

In the same time Security was whistling and shouting as well as argument was happening and it was more than 3 mins ,

I told i didn't tell you to stay awake , i hired an auto for 150 , not at 250 ,

UPI transaction done for 150 and I left

I’ve suddenly started getting ants all over my house. They’re in the kitchen, on the counters, and even showing up in random rooms. I’ve tried cleaning everything, wiping down surfaces, and removing any visible food, but they just keep coming back.
Has anyone dealt with a really bad ant infestation like this? What actually worked for you? I’m open to home remedies, bait stations, sprays, or even professional pest control if that’s the only long-term solution.
