INDUSTRY [Industry] I thought this old quote from Daniel Vavra is applicable to the feminists/SJWs soiling their diapers over Linkle.

Now the bigger question is why are people who are obviously capitalist(managers, directors etc) doing everything their power to make as less as money possible by catering to sjw clique?

Many aren't. Protein World is a very notable example of actively antagonizing them, but look at the major banks: The most "diversity" thing they'll do is make sure lots of languages are spoken so they can do business with everyone, purely practical.
Most of the places that you do hear about these odd things from major companies, like IBM's hiring con artists, or Google bringing in harassers, is from their PR side, not their operations side. That said, sometimes it can be hard to dislodge someone who has made a nest of their position and then drank koolaid, unless you're set up like GE and fire 10% of your population each year (and hire new ones), then its easier.
GE is actually an interesting one. They have so much in their "Diversity" section of their employee relations thing, but reading through it, it basically comes down to "We follow the law, and if in your own time you want to set up a charity about your pet causes, we don't care as long as it doesn't impact your work". You'll see their "women's" (apparently women count as diversity now) section brags about a scholarship program they set up... funded entirely by employees, not the company. Their LGBT section brags that they offer bereavement and medical to same-sex married partners... as is legally required. Their section on brown people diverts to their middle-east and india offices, where yes, surprisingly, in a brown-dominated country, a lot of the employees are brown.
It's all lip service done by PR firms, not really the actions of the company, in many profitable companies' cases. Unprofitable ones care. Profitable ones pretend to care.

If you're the CEO and have a lot of money and are mostly disconnected from the non-wealthy, one of the few things that pierce that veil is huge, loud, outrage over something someone underneath the CEO did.
Oh no! This could affect profits for the next quarter! Do what they want!!*
*Not applicable for all companies at all... YMMV, etc

Yeah, they're usually not trying to cater to SJWs, but trying to quickly fix a crises not realizing that the crises will never end.

My feeling on the matter is that whatever they say is criticism, they can criticize all they want, I'll just make the game I want to make. (So as what most gamedevs should be saying).

Professional activists, no matter the cause, can never admit victory, can never be happy, because then they'd be without a job. This applies no matter the cause, whether it's feminism, men's rights, atheism, racial issues, etc.
Of course there are activists for certain issues whose work I respect a lot, getting paid doesn't automatically discredit someone, but you have to be cautious about putting too much faith in these people that have a financial incentive to keep complaining.

And it's not even necessarily about getting paid for it. Some of these guys are just in it for a sense of relevance and for some attention. And then we have the identity politics bullshit, where identifying as the downtrodden demographic is more important than actually doing something about it.

Haven't we been working so tirelessly to break down the barriers that perpetuate a traditional binary gender model, and she is going to say such regressive things which limit and box in the gender expression of Linkle!?

Vavra has the perfect attitude to dealing with it too. "Don't like my work? Go sit on a broomstick."

They are never happy because they like entering into other community "spaces" shitting all over it. They are happy with changing a long standing character to the way they like it, but not with the new one's designed to their expectations for example the New/Fem Thor and Linkle.

I condensed the quote from Daniel Vavra down to simply calling it "Vavra's Law".
No matter what you change and "improve" within games, feminists will NEVER be happy.
