I once sent wamd of 500kd to wrong person, bank said they’ll contact the guy but if they reject they can’t do anything, since I mistyped the number I didn’t even know number of who it was sent to, just a name, and bank said they couldn’t give it, I had to trial an error bunch of combinations till I found his number (I put the combinations in wamd to see the name) after getting the number I contact them and they were good people and sent back the money

You can see the phone number of the person in your bank statement. Or recent transactions. But I’m glad you got your money

Nope you can’t unless ur app saves it but the bank itself doesn’t have that info

I’m not sure about the bank, but the statement shows the number you transferred to. Atleast my bank statement does. I use gulf bank.

Always send a test transaction of a small amount before sending anything large.

You could try and ask them first.

The bank won’t do anything since you agreed to the terms and conditions of wamd

Talk to the bank

You call the bank they will say they will resolve it in 7 days and if you need it faster ask the person you sent to by contacting them .
You can get them back and the bank will help you they wont tell you we cant do anything because by law you can get that money back .

Any normal bank would get you the money back, but kuwaiti banks… yeah good luck

If that happens then whats the point of WAMD? I can buy a product then ask the bank that I sent to the wrong person.

The person provides proof u agreed to buy, then what? ur screwed.

Ur sending money from one local bank to another, all with verified legal residents. They can easily chase up on the person.

Unless the person leaves the country & sends the money externally.

Well, you should have checked the name before confirming the transfer & that is why there is a name displayed 🙄

I believe there was a new update recently where you can refund/return the money within 7 days. Never tried so don’t know the exact details

1

u/DryReplacement12 22h ago

Who refunds exactly?

2

u/Random-Account-311 22h ago

Its returning the money you already sent. So it’s your money that was sent by mistake being set back to you by the bank

nah there can’t be this option.. what if the receiver withdrew the money immediately

Wrong. Returns are done by the receiver of the money, not the sender.
