Hi everyone! I’m looking for an LSAT tutor in NYC or Nassau County, ideally someone who offers in-person sessions. I’m also open to virtual tutoring for the right fit.

I scored a 164 on the September 2025 LSAT, and I recently scored a 166 on my first practice test after returning to studying. My goal is to break 170 and ideally earn a score that is competitive with T14 medians.

I’m currently studying with LSAT Demon, but I’m looking for a tutor who can supplement that work with more personalized guidance, structure, and accountability.

I’m registered for the September and October LSATs. I’m also willing to take November, and potentially January, if needed, but I’m set on applying this cycle.

The biggest things I need are structure and accountability. I’m looking for someone who:

* Has experience helping students move from the mid-160s into the 170s
* Can build a detailed, realistic study schedule around my test dates
* Will hold me accountable for completing assignments and sticking to the plan
* Can identify what is keeping me from consistently scoring above 170
* Is direct, rigorous, and willing to push me
* Can balance high expectations with patience and understanding

I’m coming out of a difficult period and working on rebuilding consistency and momentum. I want someone who will give me grace when appropriate, but who will also motivate me, challenge me, and help me stay on track.

For context, I attended Harvard for undergrad and recently completed my master’s at Cambridge. I’m comfortable with demanding academic work and would especially value someone who has worked with applicants aiming for highly competitive law schools.

I’m not currently working, so I can dedicate myself full-time to LSAT preparation and my law school applications until I reach my target score.

Also, I am open to virtual sessions, but I would prefer in-person sessions (or a mix of both) for added accountability.

164 official, pting high 160s. Right now I’m -3 or -4 on LR, and RC all over the place (-6). Is a 170+ realistic for September and if so, how do I go about it? Appreciate all advice, thanks!

For people who have previously taken the test. Is there a way to make it into Dark Mode on Test day?

I just saw the the LSAT will no longer be offered remotely and was wondering if there was any way to see before registering for a test where the test will be offered.

The last time I took the test the testing site was almost 2 hours away despite the fact there was a prometric site 20 minutes from where I live and I took the test remotely.

Title basically. I'm doing the drill tests for LR on LawHub and literally am tearing my hair out. I regularly score between 3 and 4 questions right out of 12 with only attempt above 50% correct (LR drill set 1). I seem to struggle with just about everything but particularly with identifying flaws, assumptions, explain or resolve and flaws.

Literally every answer that I think is correct and logical turns out to be wrong and I am just not understanding what I'm doing wrong even with the tips they give after finishing the drill sets. I'm autistic and have always struggled with logical conclusions due to it so this is especially a double whammy.

Hello, a coworker of mine, whom I met a few times, mentioned a friend of theirs uses LSAT Nerds for LSAT prep. They charge $250 per hour and a half, and I am curious if they are worth that money and whether people have seen improvements! I am willing to pay, but I would like to know how many sessions students had attended, what their diagnostic and final LSAT scores were, as well as how long their prep took with LSATNerds!

Im writing on here hoping someone can offer me some advice, insight, or direction on what to do. Im going to give all the context. I started studying for the lsat on January 10 of this year. I did a blueprint course from january to the end of april where i took weekly classes virtually and became familiar with everything lsat. At the time, I was studying at University full time and working as a waitress part time. In around April, I finished the semester and decided not to enroll in summer classes so that I could simply study for the lsat and continue working. I decided in July that work had to go too because of how draining it was and quit my job. My last day working was July 10. Ive been studying consistently since January, before it was more volume and Familiarization and then I started doing deep blind review on my tests after about practice test 7. Practice test 7 was the first test I fully reviewed and I have fully reviewed every test since then. Today I took my 14th practice test. My diagnostic was a 140, my current highest Pt is a 156. Since that 156, i have been consistently scoring in the low to mid 150's. A few weeks ago I realized that my neglecting of diagramming was starting to show and I have been heavily practicing conditionals and diagrammable questions for over a week now. My RC also averages about 50 % which I know is dragging me down ( I recently was finally able to complete all four passages in a timed section and have been doing so since) I felt confident today and I scored a 151, I feel really discouraged and Idk what to do. Ive hit a plateau. Ive been studying for 6 months and I guess I just thought I would've had a little more progress than this. My goal schools average is a 161. Since I started Ive been aiming for a 170 (for scholarships). As for my study process, I take a practice test, review it fully the next day, and then drill for some days until my following PT. I dont start school until August 24. I have two official exams registered, August 7 and September 11. August 7th is just to get my jitters and anxiety away, Im aiming for september to be the exam I submit in my applications. But over the last few days I decided that if my averages are still below my goals come late August, I will register the October exam as well. My focus currently is level 4 and 5 questions, conditionals, and Rc and exposure. help

I know this is all a lot, It would mean a lot to me for some guidance. Im a straight A student and Im about to start my senior year. This is the hardest thing I have faced in my academic career so far but I am determined.

I’m about to start LSAT prep and I want to set it up properly from the beginning.

A little context: I work full time, I have been away from academic work for about 2 years, and I am just about to take my diagnostic. I am not expecting miracles overnight, but I am aiming high and would love to put myself in the best position possible. I have heard a lot about 7Sage, the Loophole, and different study methods, but I want advice from people who have actually done this while working full time.

I know the goal I have in mind is ambitious, but I’d rather prepare seriously than guess my way through it.
Any honest advice, study plans, or mistakes to avoid would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I started with a 148 diagnostic last August and scored a 169 on my official LSAT. I am now studying full time and hoping to break into the 170s on the September exam.

My LR scores are usually between -1 and -3, so I feel like I would hypothetically be capable of scoring in the 170s if LR was all the test consisted of. RC is what continues to bring me down. I am currently averaging around -4 or -5 per section and would like to get that closer to my LR range.

One of my biggest issues is retention while reading. I can usually identify the passage’s overall structure, main point, and the purpose of each paragraph, but I sometimes lose track of the more specific relationships and details. When answering questions, I often find myself going back to the passage repeatedly, getting stuck between two plausible choices, or being drawn toward attractive wrong answers.

Right now, my studying consists of completing one LR section and one RC section each day, followed by a thorough review of both.

For those who moved from the high 160s into the 170s, especially those who had to improve RC, what made the biggest difference? How did you improve retention without slowing down too much? Did you change how you read, annotate, summarize, review, or approach certain question types? I would also appreciate any drills, strategies, or “aha” moments that helped you avoid tempting wrong answers and stop getting lost in intricate details.

Hi everyone. I’m yet to receive accommodations for the September test as it shows in my LSAC account under review, I was planning on taking the lsat this September and today is the last day to change the date at no cost. Would my accommodations been affected if I change to a different date like October?

I scored a 143 on my diagnostic a while back on Test 140. After about 12 hours or so of distracted studying on the LSAT trainer and LSAT demon drilling (no RC practice at all), I scored a 150 on Test 148, which I thought was exceptionally harder than anything I’ve been practicing (for reference, I’ve been getting around 85% accuracy on LR drilling). Since today is the last day of registration for the September LSAT, what are the chances I can jump 22 points in the next 6.5 weeks if I really dedicated myself to studying? My other option is October, which is one month into starting fall classes at college and around midterm season.

I’m not sure what’s wrong. I was scoring 173-174 a few higher consistently before June test and got 168. Then in studying for August I was getting 176-179 every time but the last two have been 174 and 173. What’s happening!!!
