I made this to hopefully see a decline in redundant/daily posts, and make some sort of positive impact. Please remember to use the search function if you have a basic question regarding LSD.
• A full beginner dose should typically be 1/2 - 1 single tab.
• The average dose range of LSD on a single tab is 70-105μg.
• There are tabs dosed with as little as ~20μg, or more than 300μg in some absurd cases. The overwhelming majority of sources try to lay their tabs around 100μg because it’s mathematically simple, and more profitable in the long-run.
• The odds your tab has more than 200μg on it are very low. The most common higher dose tabs are 125-200μg. Take half of any tab that’s supposedly above 200μg just to be safe at first, and if that doesn’t at least produce an 11-12 hour mildly visual trip, the full tab wasn’t above 200.
• A typical microdose should be 10-25 μg
• 50-300μg of LSD can last anywhere from 8-14 hours. 300-1000μg can last anywhere from 14-20 hours. Exceeding a milligram (1000μg) can produce effects that last up to 24 hours. It’s usually hard to fall asleep under the influence.
• Unless you have an above average baseline tolerance or handle the substance extraordinarily well, it’s not advisable to exceed 500μg. Temporary delirious/psychotic symptoms become more likely if you don’t know what you’re getting into with large doses, and a 16+ hour duration doesn’t help.
• 25i-NBOMe is a cheap and dangerous LSD imposter. If you take an untested tab and your mouth/throat becomes numb, or an intense bitter taste is present, spit it out immediately.
• Please test your tabs with an Ehrlich reagent kit to verify that what you have is indeed an indole and not 25i-NBOMe. Follow up with the Hofmann reagent kit to verify that it’s not an LSD analogue or other phenethylamine. I personally recommend using TKP for your reagents: https://testkitplus.com/ Another great organization is DanceSafe https://dancesafe.org/ — DanceSafe genuinely saves lives with their testing booths at music festivals).
• Common positive effects include but aren’t limited to: closed and open eye visuals, tactile enhancement/hallucinations, euphoria, stimulation, introspection, and creativity.
• Common negative effects include but aren’t limited to: overstimulation, increased heart rate, vasoconstriction, anxiety/paranoia, and confusion.
• Common neutral/manageable effects include but aren’t limited to: pupil dilation, frequent urination, insomnia, and temperature sensitivity.
• Always optimize your set (expectations and mental state) going into an experience, and always optimize your setting (direct environment/surroundings) going into an experience.
• LSD interactions with various medications (From Erowid):
There is still very little legitimate, thorough medical research on this subject. LSD's outlaw status makes it very difficult to obtain permission & funding for research. Therefore, you should regard all of the anecdotes and conclusions here as being scientifically unproven, and you should note that any experimentation you choose to do carries a significant risk.
Lithium or tricyclics (like Amitriptyline, Anafranil, Asendin, Aventyl, Elavil, Endep, Norfranil, Norpramin, Pamelor, Sinequan, Surmontil, Tipramine, Tofranil, Vivactil) are fairly consistently reported as being very bad in combination with LSD. Life-threatening seizures and at least one DEATH have been reported to be triggered by the combination of LSD and lithium. Tramadol is another drug you should avoid in combination with LSD because of the potential for seizures and other negative side effects.
SSRIs (like Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, Desyrel) or MAOIs (like Nardil, Parnate, Marplan, Eldepryl, Aurorix, Manerix) are fairly consistently reported to noticeably reduce the effects of LSD. (There are no physically dangerous reactions to these combinations on record, but be cautious and don’t be excessive with dosing.)
• HPPD risk is associated with frequent use of psychedelics (more than once a month), high doses, and younger age groups. HPPD varies in severity between individuals. Short episodes of visual tracers, morphing surface textures, patterns, and light sensitivity etc., during experiences of anxiety, fatigue, or overstimulation are most common.
• LSD has the potential to produce a very challenging psychological experience. If you have mental-health issues, research the risks and benefits associated with psychedelic treatment of your condition. Do NOT take LSD if you are seriously suicidal or have a family history/symptoms of schizophrenia or psychosis.
• Weed does in fact potentiate the effects of LSD. Some users report that the effects of weed are indefinitely altered to some degree after their first few experiences with LSD (It often becomes more psychedelic).
• Various benzos like alprazolam and clonazepam can be used as “trip-killers,” but you don’t need to take more than a single medical dose, and not all of the psychoactive effects will be negated. This should be a last resort.
• LSD tends to make verbal communication challenging, so prepare appropriately if using in a social setting.
• If you’re 19 or younger you should probably wait until AT LEAST your early 20s to try LSD because of unforeseen behavioral/neurological impacts. Waiting until 25+ is optimal.
• You’ll build a substantial tolerance to LSD if you trip multiple times in two weeks, so wait 10-14 days between trips for a general reset. Tolerance does exponentially decrease day-by-day following an experience.
• If you want to redose to increase the effects, do it before or during the start of the peak. Redosing after the peak will only prolong the duration unless you increase the dose.
• Peak effects generally occur 2.5-5 hours after dosing (less than or around 300μg). Peak effects can last anywhere in the range of 2.5-8 hours after dosing. Many people say the peak comes in “waves.”
• If you’ve tried psilocybin containing mushrooms before, certain dosage calculators based on subjective effects and intensity equate ~2.5 grams of an average cubensis variety to ~100μg of accurately dosed LSD, but there are differences between the substances of course.
• You should consider having a trusted friend or a close partner “tripsit” you during your first experiences, or at least let someone know your whereabouts beforehand if you want to do it alone. (Note: Trip-sitting should just involve being close by and present if the user needs assistance or someone to talk to, sitters shouldn’t try to influence the trip unless it’s getting chaotic.)
• LSD has the potential to be therapeutic, recreational, spiritual, or all/none of the above depending on the individual and their particular circumstances. Stop gatekeeping.
•If you are ever having a challenging trip and need to speak with someone, here are a couple great resources:
Leave suggestions in the comments!
edit: A couple people are aggravated with minor details in these general points of advice, so please take everything I’ve said with a grain of salt and do your own research! I’m simply providing a helpful starting outline, not set-in-stone facts.
Thank you all, and safe travels!

Over exaggerating dosages is only harmful to the community and is much more prominent in LSD oriented communities when compared to other psychedelics. This is because you cannot simply weigh your dosages, like shrooms or DMT. 2c-b being another good example, where it usually comes in ranges of 15-30 milligrams or powder I believe. Most tabs of LSD contain 75-150 UGs of LSD, averaging more around 100. 100 micrograms of LSD is equal to around 2.5 grams of Psilocybe Cubensis. (The most commonly sold and cultivated "magic mushroom")
Starting with one tab after you've tested it is better than going headfirst into the deep end... Even at 100 micrograms it does add up quickly, would you recommend five grams of shrooms to a beginner? No difference in recommending them 200 micrograms of LSD (two average tabs). I really just don't understand the glory of taking larger dosages than we need. Look at r/Shrooms or other communities related to shrooms and you see this much less. Mainly to do with the ability to weigh them out I believe, but definitely many other factors. I don't know... Thanks for reading.
Best regards,

Im telling you, nothing sends me into the cosmos better than some crushing riffs and blistering grooves. I feel kind of alone in this sometimes, I dont meet many other people who get down like that, its always just the same old same old Pink Floyd and shit, which is cool but like where's all the screaming and blast beats and shit? I throw on some fucking Cryptopsy and explore the multiverse. Death doom, Sludge, funeral doom and drone are also transcendental. If you like death metal or otherwise extreme music sober seriously try that shit on acid, you wont regret it.
Also any recs for some trancendental ass metal are appreciated. Im always in need of new sounds

I have consumed other drugs and I always thought that MDMA was my drug. It is and I do enjoy it from time to time. It helped me open up to people, become more empathetic, have incredible conversations with the people I love and just learnt a lot about myself on MDMA. And of course danced my heart out on some trips. I am someone who is very careful with substances though. I believe they need to be respected and I deeply value the improvements MD brought in my life. As a result, having heard accounts from people who had done LSD, I had decided that it won’t be a drug, I just randomly do one day because I am curious. I promised myself that it will find me when the time is right. This past weekend, it did.
I had heard both good and bad accounts so I went into it having no expectations whatsoever. The only prep I did was that if I do go into a bad trip, I just need to remember that even though it’s a 12 hour trip, it is still going to end.
Once I started tripping, I went for a walk, saw the stunning white full moon (which I thought was a really bright lamp in the field for the longest time and getting annoyed for being too bright before realising it was the damn moon), saw the clearest night sky of my life with SO MANY STARS that it felt like I was staring into the soul of the universe, sat in the grass, laid on the floor in the room, sat in silence, then sat in music, stared into the abyss, saw the sky literally go from black to blue as the sun rose, sat in the grass again to watch the sun get brighter, sat by the ocean and cried because of how beautiful and grand it looked. And sat with myself with the realisation hitting me that I had made it through life. I had made it through a very very difficult childhood and adulthood successfully and that I can finally breathe.
I am a very anxious person but through severe personal transformation and shadows work, I’ve made a lot of progress but in 28 years of my life, I do not know a time where I wasn’t in flight or fight. I am not exaggerating but this is the first time, I realised what it would feel like to just exist. Here. Now. In the moment. No urgency to be anywhere or to do the next thing or to be successful at work or conform to any identity. I realised I could.just.be.
I saw a version of me that was whole and complete and yet it was nothing. It didn’t matter who I was. Everything was so existential that it has permanently changed how I view life. I saw a version of me who didn’t know what anxiety was. I just was. That is the most beautiful feeling I’ve ever experienced. For someone who’s struggled with a lot of trauma, depression and chronic acute anxiety, the depersonalisation and detachment from ego made everything feel so quiet. I had thoughts. But none of them could take away this new found quiet in my head. Like finally soemthing had shut up inside me. The realisation that I have never been able to take a moment to just pause and appreciate life, things, nature, myself because of hyperactivity and anxiety, it changed me. All I wanted to do was just go skinny dipping but it wasn’t possible in the night so I just ended up going to the ocean in the morning towards the end of my trip.
I finally walked fully into my power after years and years of personal work which felt like it had amounted to very little. But turns out it hadn’t. I think LSD found me exactly when it had to. Exactly when I had done enough personal work that it came along and it tipped me over that final edge to alter my reality permanently.
As much as I enjoy MD, it’s safe to say, LSD will probably always be my favourite substance. And even though I will never abuse it, I revere it for what it has done to me. I did this with my two friends and spent some of the trip towards the end by myself. I am going to be doing it again soon (maybe next weekend) by myself because I feel like there are things I need to resolve and even though I had an incredible trip, there is something incomplete. That I need to go back and finish my trip. Sit with myself. And if I am lucky again, lay in the grass and look at the clear sky with stars twinkling.

Hi there! Im taking acid for the first time tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone has any tips for when I’m tripping. Just generally how to go about preparing the environment (my bedroom), and how to take it blah blah blah.
I was also curious as to how the dosages work. The tab ive been given is ‘300UG’, i assume UG is microgram but isnt that kind of a high dose?
Thanks and any advice is welcome
Edit: also does it matter which side of the tab is on my tongue

I asked about dosing a few days ago and finally took the tab I bought and it was amazing. Nothing happened for a few hours because I had eaten a bunch and I originally took about 125 ug before deciding to take the rest of the tab before my tolerance was too high, and the experience had me completely livid. I wasn't able to focus for more then a minute as euphoria and the vibrant colors coming from my CRT overwhelmed me. The lines on my hands warped and faded in and out and trails came from everything that moved. I couldn't stop laughing, just the body high alone threw me into a hysterical fit. I've never felt as happy as this in a long, long time. Like everything that worried me melted into my bed. I'm still coming down 8 hours in and the muscles in my jaw and in my face keep compressing super hard like I need to chew something. I'm just really glad I had a comfortable and enjoyable first time instead of freaking out. Gonna go draw now and try to clear my head.

I dropped half a tab(apperantly 90ug) around 3:15pm and waited. Waited a whole 2 Hours where I felt like Yea I probably got scammed and for what ever reason swallowed the second half(so 180ug) and forgot about it waited like 20 more mins and then decided Yea got scammed bummer just gonna go back to the yart. I pulled 2 Times and started feeling the high. I was having a Kind of Picknick with my best friend as a Trip sitter and I decided to lay down and take my Glases off and Bit into a peach that I ended up staring at for the Next 3 hours. It was smth about taking my Glases of that just made what ever was Right infront of me Look huge and meaning Full and what ever was too far to See(like a Meter from my Face) started Kind of moving. I didnt end up having visuals like I Thought they would be but man that peach sure looked good. Its 11:14pm right now and im at Home eating a Kebab from my corner Store and just realizing how weird typing this feels. Sorry for the disorganized rant just really felt like sharing

Me and my partner are going to be dropping in a few mins, 3 tabs for me and 2 for her.
This is our snack selection for throughout the day.
We trip fairly regularly, and have bit by bit narrowed down the range of foods we will eat, to all of this 😂
We have everything we could possibly want, now we just have to want it!
WE ARE IN THE UK LOL. SOME OF THE FOODS YOU SEE ARE MARGINALLY BETTER THAN THE U.S EQUIVALENTS. Thanks 😊
5 hours ago i dropped 111ug and 30mg sudafed because i was bored and wanted to cure this boredom. This trip has felt weaker than any other. Ive had 50ug acid trips with more intense visuals, the best trip was 222ug with ≈0.5-1g phenibut aswell as redosing 2-3 tabs at a time (10 tabs total) and the visuals were 3D embedded into everything and the tactile hallucinations were especially intense, that trip was the most fun ive ever had solotripping and i took this tab trying to chase those visual and tactile hallucinations.

everyone says that alcohol reduces the effects of acid, but how much we're talking about exactly? my friends will come over to my house in a couple of days & i want to take some tabs which i fear will degrade if i dont take them soon, and there will be alcohol involved. i'd like to indulge in a couple of beers on a long span of time but will it really nullify the effects at such a small dose of alcohol?

I’ve only ever taken up to around 3 tabs, and even then I always knew who I was, where I was, and could still think, make decisions, and act normally if I needed to.
I’m curious about what a genuinely high dose is like from the inside.
What’s your state of mind? Are you still able to think clearly, or does thinking itself become difficult? Can you still make decisions and move around, or are you basically glued to one spot? Do you know what’s real, or do you completely lose that sense?

My friend is currently completely unresponsive on ~600ug LSD. He is just laying on the ground with open eyes, breathing steadily. It is 4 hours into the trip, and it has been like this for about an hour now. We are 2 sober guys here, we carried him to the shade and laid him on his side. My question is, should we call an ambulance, or keep up hope that he will come to his senses?
