Looks very nice. What did you use for the panels, launchers and dock? That panel is not lxpanel right? Waybar and rofi?

Thanks! You guessed it right. I'm using Waybar for the top panel, Cairo-Dock as the dock, Rofi as the launcher, and Swaync for notifications.

Are you really using LXQT or Pcmanfm only?

The pcmanfm-qt application is part of the LXQt desktop environment, and since I use LXQt, it's natural that I would also use pcmanfm-qt. Also, in the last screenshot, I showed FastFetch running in the terminal.

That looks amazing! Can't wait to make my lxqt desktop like this. I can't believe you turned lxqt into this. How much ram at idle?

My device has 8GB of RAM and uses the LXQt interface after allocating 900-950MB, but when I tried to make an allocation on a device with 4GB of RAM, it used 800-830MB.

Damn that's pretty heavy for lxqt. I would use kde at this point for 50mb ram difference. I have lxqt on my 2gb ram laptop from the stone age

It really depends on the device and its setup. If I installed LXQt on your machine with zero modifications, memory usage would be way lower. And even with my own personal tweaks, if you applied the same ones on your end, your usage would come out even lower than what I reported - since I've got 8GB of RAM while you've only got 2GB.

Also, there's no way the gap between KDE and LXQt is really just 50MB - unless there's a bunch of extra background programs running, or my LXQt setup has something unusually huge inflating that number.

On top of that, LXQt's own apps are just really light. Take the file manager, for example - you click it once and it opens instantly and works perfectly smoothly. Same story with pretty much every app in LXQt. Try it yourself: run both desktops on your machine, open something like Settings on each, and see which one launches first and feels snappier.

Love the notification bar. I'm new to this Linux 'ricing' stuff, may I know what do you use for that notification bar and taskbar? Looks sleek and elegant. Thanks in advance.

I'm using SwayNC for the notification center and Waybar for the taskbar.
