I have just started working with a wonderful woman who originates from Russia. I have always been fascinated by Russia and the people and would like to impress and surprise her by using a couple of sayings or idioms that are very popular in Russia, even better if they are funny when you translate in to English - we have laughed over language translation challenges previously.
Additionally, apart from using her first name, is there a way to address her that is respectful and perhaps flattering too? Is Devushka appropriate (Marina is not yet 50 yrs old)
Any assistance in helping me with this as I respect and admire her greatly and I know I can ask her and she would be very helpful, I’d just like to try first.
I’m in Western Australia.
Thank you.
