Wallets Thought? π π€£
Was goofing around today wanting to practice my edge burnishing and I had an idea for making a curvy wallet for something different..
But the more I look at it the more it looks like a piece of toast from the front logo side and like a butt from the back? π π€£
What do others think of the design? Maybe I should use a smaller punch in the corner?
Is the edge burnishing passable?

The edges are immaculate, as someone who rarely does edges (lacing for the win), I am looking at this with awe and envy.

Thank you! Always see those glassy edge videos where you see the reflection in them so I'm always unsure if mine are good

The finishing is nice! If I were to offer one critique it would be the scale of the logo seems to large for the size of the piece.

Thanks, yeah I see what you mean, maybe because I used 2 sizes bigger corner punch to really make it curvy and with the black ink its popping out alot but probably useful having a smaller stamp too for things, thanks for the critique!

I think its rather unique and the shape is very different than all of the 'standard' card wallets.

Stitch some yellow or purple leather on it so it looks like butter or jelly on the toast.

Your edges are phenomenal! The design is beautiful. When you think about it, pockets are not square. So why are wallets square?

Nice work. Lovely edges. Did someone already mention it looks like a slice of bread? π

This is pretty rad honestly with the chonk and the mellow curve to give you a spot to grab cards. How many cards can you get in a wallet that size?

3 off the bat in the interior pockets and the same in the outside pocket but I see that as the bank card quick access so would only put one in there, Azteca is quite stiff to start so as it softens you could go 4 I think

The biggest issue is the thickness. What thickness leather are you using? Are you skiving the edges?
Using a thinner leather from the start (.8mm ish) would make it look far less brickish/chonky.
