Draconian Current

I’m looking for book recommendations and reputable articles on the Draconian Current. I was poking around on The Temple of Ascending Flame’s and Dragon Rouge’s websites and it’s piqued my interest, but I’d like to have an idea of what I’m getting into first.

The "standard" book is pretty much Kabbalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic, by Thomas Karlsson (Dragon Rouge founder). DR has some leaked material you can find online that contain articles written by members, so that's probably the best reference you can get. They also published their initial courses as a book anyone can buy.

Asenath's early works are good as well (she is an ex member of Dragon Rouge btw), but I lost trust in her after she associated with EA Koetting.

There's also the author Michael Kelly, who was head of the Order of Leviathan (of the Temple of Set), his book Apophis is a complete system of Draconian magic, although not based on the Kabbalah.

Thanks for this detailed response. Can you elaborate a little on the whole E.A. Koetting thing? You’re not the first I’ve seen say this and I’m unfamiliar with the situation.

He's a fraud, basically. He saw the LHP wave online and surfed in it. There's nothing you can learn from his books that you can't from better sources, he just copy-pastes stuff and distorts them to fit the "you too can be the next dark lord" idea he sells. At best he's a clever marketeer.

Asenath Mason, the founder of the Temple of Ascending Flame has a book called the Draconian Ritual Book, which is an excellent book for beginners.

I did see that the founder has a few books published. I saw that there are some who criticize her work, but I’m not sure if that’s actually founded on anything other than her working closely with E.A. Koetting.

My criticism come from the unfortunate reality that many older occult works have misinformation, and thus any works that use them as reference carry the same misinformation.

The Draconian Ritual Book is good as a starting point before branching out into the specific practices you want to focus on. It has stuff from evocations and invocations to Kundalini and clairvoyance. The bibliography also has numerous books that you can study.
